Cadar: Torpedo greetings cards
Rychart: Giant hats
Steel Song: Believe in reincarnation
But what of the others?
What is Thulun's quirk?
What is Javat's oddity?
Why is De Valtos pissed off all the time?
We need to know, and we need to know now!

I always saw the Thulun as being too nice to be trusted...like Lutherans from Minnesota.
They are doing something bad, but you'll never ever know it because they slather on the nice so thick.

For me, Steel Song is the faction that tries to come out big and tough with lots of hired toughs, but they're also the the type of ships where people have slapped "Just Torp Me" stickers on their aft-sections. In summary - Steel Song seems to LOVE Cadar torps. Good thing that I fly Cadar so often

De Valtos always strikes me as the robber barons - bankrupting the whole quadrant to make sure they get their bonus checks...

Actually, I thought the Steel Songers were into the whole reincarnation thing with their flag being a chakra.
I figured De Valtos were always serious and drank a lot due to having to put up with living next to the Cadar.
In my stories the Thulun captains (like Captain Shaft) liked to dress like archaic sea pirates despite the impracticality of running around a spaceship without proper space gear. They also had huge wardrobes and disliked wearing the same thing twice.
The Javat held the best promotion parties; the bigger the promotion, the bigger the party.

I do believe that Javat, spy masters of the house, are master smugglers, party throwing maniacs and heavy consumers of the spice.
Thulun I agree are over dramatic bastards who favor ridiculous heroics and sport ridiculous honor codes about "man to man combat" and "whoever shoots his hat off gets the cargo" type games with the officers.

Any chance mission text could go through a filter depending on who it's from?
"Please fire off this torpedo...er...deliver this cargo to deep space to our allies who are certainly not going to fire torpedoes at you...at these coordinates and we will pay you 3,000 torpedoes...er...credits if you do it before 79.10. Be warned that Rychart Big Hats may try to stop you."
"Destroy this criminal hiding at the dreary DeValtos Star Dock. He has transgressed against House Thulun and must be destroyed in a spectacular manner. While his ship burns against the blackness of space, please also read in a dramatic fashion, a litany of his crimes against House Thulun and by extension, humanity."

We could ... but I think the team of 20 hard working translators over on CrowdIn.Net would not be pleased with 64 new strings =)

Do the members of House Thulun sparkle under the bridge lights?

That's why you've got to make the new strings so good that translating them is a reward in itself!

havocme--House Thulun captains have the bridge lights installed in their epaulettes, the higher the rank the brighter they shine!

I seriously love this one:
"Destroy this criminal hiding at the dreary DeValtos Star Dock. He has transgressed against House Thulun and must be destroyed in a spectacular manner. While his ship burns against the blackness of space, please also read in a dramatic fashion, a litany of his crimes against House Thulun and by extension, humanity."

I always imagined high ranking captains of house Thulun to be slightly fat with thick moustaches and thick eyebrows. Oh and also smoking a pipe And steel song, dunno. Vikingesque?

All Independent contracts should start with and end with"I don't know you and you don't know me...<mission>...and remember I was never here."
