The current 'maps' and 'journals' are the in-game equivalent of almanacs, hand drawn maps and exploration logs.
The current trade goods are 'commodity' and of moderate universal value.
Future releases will include specialized trade goods that have dramatic swings in value based on where they are sold.

Future releases will include specialized trade goods that have dramatic swings in value based on where they are sold. perhaps once of these special trade goods could be journals that you made yourself from surveillance ( as opposed to journals night at an exchange, which could have info from anywhere). surveillance at Cadari - causes special cadari surveillance records. If your selling it to a nation in a spy battle with Cadari, the sell price increases, and it increases furthermore if Cadari is on average far away from this nation ( during spy battles only). This is, of course, once surveillance is added to AoP
