I would be awesome if you ported this to the Windows Phone (windows mobile 7). I've already paid for the Elite version. I would definitely pay for it again.
I've only been playing for a week, but I'm fully fascinated with the game. Great work!

oldalchemist - I heart your chatter. hotpoo -- I am a profession C# developer by trade (Android I only learned while coding ST RPG.) I supposed I could try to make a WP7 edition. I have been thinking about this and it sounds to me like WP7 is easier to code than iPhone, but I can't find out diddly squat about how to get on the Windows Market.

Music to my ears. Looks like most of what you need to know is here (or around here): msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff941089%28v=vs.92%29.aspxAs with all things Microsoft, there are some caveats: Requires that you set register as a phone developer (costs $$ I think, but I'm not sure how much). Requires the Windows Phone development suite (free, but only runs on Vista/7... is fairly massive). There are probably others, but I'm not certain what. The developer suite does come with a phone emulator, but I'm not sure how well it works. My phone is currently dev unlocked (allows for sideloading), and at your disposal for testing until AT&T finally decides to release the NoDo update. After that, I'll have to wait until some other smart person figures out how to dev unlock the device. A game of this quality would be a welcome addition to the budding (yet mostly full of crap) Windows Phone marketplace.

P.S. Have you ever considered modifying Star Traders into a 4x game? Your engine and AI seem well geared for it. Again, nice work. I've only been playing for a week, and I'm nothing but impressed.

I am working on another game that uses the ST RPG universe but has a 4X database behind it. Today the engine is "spotlight" where the only "high resolution" simulation is occurring near the player. The farther away from the player the more abstract the simulation becomes.
For that reason, the 4X game ends up needing a new engine, but one that shares many features with the ST RPG simulation system, but at a constant resolution.
Thanks for the link!

Nooooooooooo ... once it is on my laptop, I fear ALL of my productivity will be obliterated. As it is, I feel I am neglecting my children - they are chatting away and I have to ignore them because I am busy chasing down the most recent shortage of artifacts 14AU away from my position!

I probably wouldn't use it TOO much on the computer. I'm on the move a lot and like it on my kindle.
