It occurred to me today that every type of weapon (gloves, clubs, pistols) except for rifles has a non-lethal version. This limits the utility of my sniper runner, as he is only really useful for taking out the one fugitive, and otherwise has to sit idle. (First time playing on high difficulty, trying to keep my rep up, don't want to kill unless I have to) A tranq-sniper rifle wouldn't exactly fit with the rest of the non-lethal theme of electric shocks, but it would make snipers a lot more versatile.

Just thought - wouldn't a tranquiliser gun need its own ammunition type?

Snipers kill people - the very word implies it in my Trese brain. I don't think non-lethal fits very well for that class of character.

Agreed, but not everyone, just their target. That sniper needs to be able to clear the field and thin the herd to be able to escape.

I stole the idea for this from Deus Ex. There was nothing quite so satisfying in that game as when the T. Rifle nailed the guy in the head and dropped him - comatose - instantaneously. But 'tis the developers call.

In my opinion, with the new system requiring you to hire at least 2 runners to cover broad fields of skills, you can have at least one runner able to close to your target in order to stun him with non-lethal weapons while you clear the area with long range kills. To me, you don't need a long range non-lethal rifle. Obviously, it's just my point of view.

snipers are all about precision; not just killin' and sometimes precision means following the contract to the letter: do not kill which is my way of saying tranquilizer sniper rifles would be the coolest fucken shit
