I would appreciate changing the way completed/possible awards are displayed.
There is no point to display that you earned Rapid Rank 1 with 13 different captains.... Plus sorting through it all to figure out which award you want to focus on completing is confusing.
How about just having a single award display, that combines possible and earned together without displaying an award multiple times?
Also, I have a bug report. If you use the 'Take All' button instead of individually grabbing the cargo after a battle, the goods stolen from another star trader counter doesn't update.

Hi Kettemann, I just did a quick check on the victory screen. On the display it showed the enemy had 16 units of cargo, both in the text and in the ship stats. I then did the ole take all, and both stats changed to 0 units. Is there another screen that you were talking about? Re the awards, I agree that on the "Completed" awards display, it would be great just to see one instance of each completed award (and the first achievement of the highest level of that award). For example, if you had: Captain A on Demanding receive: Award 1 Award 2 Award 3 Then Captain B on Crazy receive Award 1 Award 3 Award 5 finally Captain C on Normal achieve Award 1 Award 2 Award 3 Award 5 Award 6 The completed awards should show: Award 1 - Captain B - Crazy Award 2 - Captain A - Demanding Award 3 - Captain B - Crazy Award 5 - Captain B - Crazy Award 6 - Captain C - Normal The gap just so you can see there is no Award 4 displayed

The bug I was referring too, has to do with the stats required to get the privateer awards.
If you check the captain stats at the bottom one of the counters is 'goods stolen' or some such.
It doesn't increase if you use the take all option.

Cool, you're absolutely right. You're talking about the Score page. If you do a Take All action, it doesn't get counted in the number of times you have stolen. Maaaaaybe because you are taking everything it no longer counts as looting because it must have been yours in the first place? Probably not.

I also have a question about the awards. Once you complete the award does the captain who achieved it, still need to be alive or active? I noticed that i had completed some achievements and later on that captain was eliminated. However, the achievement was no longer unlocked for me to use with my new captain...

I would like to see some of the unlocks being useable in Normal level too. So new players & casual players would have a chance to use them also. Not just the more advanced levels or players.

I'd like to see an unlock for a Nanny Officer that wipes your nose for Normal and Basic players!
I'm still yearning for an 'unearned' filter for the awards.

@ketterman You need to actually go to the Hall of Records in the Palace to record your exploits. Once they are recorded and it says you have achieved award xyz, then it should be unlocked for all pilots, even if you accidentally get your current captain toasted.

Maybe just color the background of the award if it's been earned? White for unearned, and then just ROYGBIV it up for the highest difficulty level you were when you earned it.

If you are running at hard or demanding, and an award is achieved on a lower difficulty -- you should still get the award.

Err ... you might have won the award, but it might not have been on hard enough level to unlock the award. For example, if you were going for the "Thousand Suns" award (1000 turns) on Normal level, you'll probably be able to achieve the award, but you won't be able to achieve the unlock (A W-F tank gets unlocked if the award is achieved at Challenging level or greater). The idea for the unlocks is to be a challenge you strive for. If you are able to unlock every challenge at a low level (where things are relatively easy), (a) it isn't really a challenge anymore, and (b) it doesn't encourage you to try your luck with higher levels. Part of the fun of going for these awards is knowing just how many pilots lost their lives and how hard you struggled to achieve the unlock.
Once you succeed in unlocking something, it is unlocked for all levels. In the above example with the thousand suns award, if you played on Challenging level and passed 1000 turns, you would unlock the W-F tank for all levels. This means that you could start a new game on Normal OR Crazy and you would be able to purchase the W-F tank upgrade (where available).
