For example I hit Expert Contractor on Hard...which is higher than the required Demanding.....and I really wanted that SPY profession

Hey Void10111 ... yeah, if you achieve an award at a level higher than the required level, you still unlock the reward.

I just checked and tested -- AWARD_PERFECT_CONTRACTOR > 0 will yield Spy unlock. Tested it in game as well, worked fine.

The spy unlock works fine. I just started my first character on Impossible difficulty this weekend. It was a spy, named James Bond...:-D

I found the awards earned screen complicated also. Would it be enough to just list each award once with a bar under showing the highest difficulty level the award was earned on, colour coded to show if it was unlocked? (i.e. earned on a high enough dificulty level) Or maybe mark on the bar the difficulty level required so you see when the bar crosses that.
It might be nice to put the name of the captain that did it there also, although I am guessing you can get that from the captains record? If people are using the number of times an award is gained as a score then you could have a histogram over the bar showing the number of times the award was gained on each difficulty level...
Just ideas on the implementation but I spent a long time cycling through trying to find missions to do on each difficulty.

Good Award sorting has been brought up before and I think Cory's frying bigger fish.
Maybe he can be enticed into improving the Award screen by suggesting that awards be sorted into several different colored enormous hats?
