Keep in mind that the Android OS doesn't use the SD card for installations, no matter what you do -- it will use the phone memory.

... It tells me I'm on 1.4.3,bit it isn't listed in the updates on your play page... there is only 1.4.5... With the same update notes as .3

I am getting 'the whole game freezes' in combat on my Samsung Galaxy phone. The next time it happens I will have logcat working ....

grävling - thank you for prepping logcat. We are working through some very nasty issues where whole-game-freezes is happening to one class of device, and are trying to fix that without screwing up the rest of the ecosystem! Any help you can provide in logcats is invaluable!
