For the sake of humor and personal curiosity, it would be fun to see the total number of away team members slaughtered lost during harvesting / exploration missions. The numbers could be frightening. Perhaps we could bundle this with some sort of an achievement?
Also, is there a way to disable the "google checkout" validation each time a game is started / continued? My poor little tablet is rarely on an internet connection, and this frequently errors out. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, as I was pretty certain that I played all weekend sans network connection with no issues (the checkout screen would disappear after a few moments). I'm not able to get in now (get a network connection error), and I won't be able to scratch this particular itch until I can get onto the home wifi.

Ha ... I have run out of red ensign shirts for my crew so have resorted to stamping the back of their shirts/rags/steel-song uniforms with "Expendable". My biggest fear is that I might run out of ink before getting to the next port.
I would LOVE a tally of numbers of crew lost over time: "In the 2 years since you began, you have lost 12 crew to deep space accidents, 35 crew during encounters in space, and 12592 crew to wilderness accidents."

The license verification cache window ("google checkout") is all managed by Google.
They say that after a secret number of successful attempts the cache of the license will last for several weeks. I have had many conversations with players about this and they have all ended with a happy customer about a week after purchase.

An odd way to do it, but at least I have an explanation now. Thanks for that.

You know, I've had the game for months now, and I get the license validation thing almost daily. Hmm, I need to fire a torp at Google HQ ... that'll teach them to not like a Cadarian Captain

Same. The checkout runs almost every time I start a game.
