Star Date hassel

It annoys me to no end when I want to know what the star date is before I accept a contract. This would not be a problem if:
1) The contract specified weeks instead of a date when the contract expires,
OR
2) Star dates in the upper left hand corner less than ten or ending in zero displayed the missing zero. i.e. year 70 week 1 is diplayed as 70.01 and week 10 is displayed 70.10

I like the week countdown personally. When I'm flipping through the contracts, I like to be able to see how long until they expire. Maybe use both pieces of data?
