Can we get rid of the limit on the number of ships you can own at once? I like collecting ships and its especially annoying when I find a new ship I wanna play with and can't buy it without trading in my current ship....which happens frequenty because I've never bothered to count how many ships I'm allowed before I get cut off. Ship collecting gives me something to do and also gives me something to blow money on. I often have more than I know what to do with, so I buy ships. I'm always delighted to see new ships ingame, and I hope to eventually catch them all. Some are rather elusive. I still can't capture a righteous space hulk and a few others. The limit doesn't make sense to me anyway. I could see individual docks on individual planets possibly having a limit due to space, but not letting me dry dock a ship on a friendly planet where I'm rank 18 and have zero ships stored? This happens in just about every game of mine.

Yeppers, been an elite player since right around when elite came out. By far the best 2 bucks I've spent in a long time. For the cost of a single beer I've been entertained for months and counting.

If you've got too much cash, that might be an indication that you're ready to start at a higher difficulty.

I currently play most of my games on crazy, but yeah I've been thinking about moving up to impossible (because I've read on the forum there are some impossible only ships ^_^)

You mean I didn't have to give up my sweet ride all these times I switched ships?
I must have missed that... thanks for the tip.... and I agree that knowing your cutoff would be good so you don't end up losing a great ship.

the limit in elite is 8 ships ... i thought that 8 fully upgraded backup ships was enough.
i was wrong.
Hashassin -- how many cars do you need this garage to hold? =)

I'm still impressed that the cost of a single beer is only $2 ...

slayernz: not in a bar @cory: a lot. Enough space that if I run out of things to do (and I'm almost done with all the achievements) I can collect every single ship and have room for new ships as they are added into the world. That being said yeah 8 is probably enough to play with. I don't use all the ships I buy. I buy'em because buying new ships amuses me between bouts of blockades and exploration. Any increase over 8 would be welcome, but it would be nice if space was much more liberal.

I figure the ship I've got is the ship I'm going to die in...I'm usually right.
