I took a stimpac when I was "asleep on my feet", but that didn't do anything about my energy level. I took crammers but it STILL says I'm tired, and shortly after noticing that it gave me no experience for a fight I ran into on my way to an inn (too exhausted).

Officer Genious - if you're Exhausted, you wont get XP. Crammers and Stims reduce Exhaustion by a semi-randomized amount, so make sure you take enough. Popping one is not a guaranteed fix.

Officer Genious - "crackjaw" is the status that you get when you are drugged up. When you are taking stimmers or crammers, you won't get out of crackjaw. It prevents you from having a granular understanding of when you will crash.

Uhh, I'm not sure I understand. So "crack-jaw" just means drugged up, not awake? So you can be in crackjaw status for a long time while still counting as exhausted?

Okay, so if my status screen says "crack-jawed", then my results screen after a battle shouldn't say exhausted or still have zzz on my icon bar, right? That's the bug?

Officer Genious - still don't understand what the bug is sorry. If you come out of combat Exhausted, then you don't get Experience. Having had a nice exploratory conversation, perhaps you can re describe the scenario now in a procedural sense so I understand ... 1. I take stims until I am crack-jaw... 2. I ...

Having had a nice exploratory conversation, perhaps you can re describe the scenario now in a procedural sense so I understand ... 1. I take stims until I am crack-jaw... 2. I ... Okay, I can do that! 1- My character has "zzz" on the left side of the game screen and "asleep on his feet" in the status screen. 2- I took a stimmer thinking that I could get the 60-minutes worth of exhaustion removal to work this time. 3- Back on the game screen, I still have "zzz" on the left side of my screen and "asleep on his feet" in the status screen. 4- I take a crammer, and my character's status changes to "crack-jaw" on the status screen. 5- I believe I still had "zzz" to the left of the game screen, and start moving towards a hotel. 6- I get dragged into an encounter. 7- Winning the encounter I get no experience due to "exhaustion". 8- I check the status screen, which still says "crack-jawed". Basically, I was expecting to get experience in "crack-jaw" status, but didn't.

Had a similar situation, likely related. Although, on reflection it might be WAD. 1. Get implant. Not sure of status beforehand. 2. Come out "exhausted " at 3/3. 3. Use drug/med to get back to 6/8 (still exhausted) 4. Pop a handfull of crammers. (Says crackjawed on status screen, but still says exhausted on bottom right of game screen. The zzz icon stays the whole time. Conclusion: cracked out status doesn't always mean you're not totally wasted on your feet Is this correct?

rainman - the intention is that crackjawed is "Not Exhausted and on Drugs" If you are crackjawed, you are not any other status before Exhausted (the non-drugged status). So you are seeing the Zzzzz stay around and not getting XP. I have added your report to #CK-2258 so I can look into it when I investigate.

Thank you for the clarification, I was just about to submit a bug it takes me 3 Crammers to go from completely exhausted to having blue bars again.

"crackjaw" ... prevents you from having a granular understanding of when you will crash. Oh!! Nice touch, that. Five years on and I'm still finding out cool little details of this game!
