Good to know I re-Go on topic... The damn Deathkin is hard to take down, but Vraes got a good streak of hits, such as Tami! He finally has only ~10 hp....  And...Kazaammm!! Vincent polverizes the bad and dark and angry(and hungry too ) mouse with a sweet thunder!!! Bwahahah  Btw...see the second image... ...more to coming!!! I see that even you don't see Kyera as a decent melee fighter. Or was she keeping the back door closed?

She's competent enough with the upgraded hammer and shield + TB that I use her with this party to cover the rear.
Wizard with 6 range provides a nice rear protection but Sorcerer can't deal with wrap around archers.
But with Sorcerer I spend points with Cleric Shield because of no Pure Flame.
Key to her Melee is starting with a curse =)

I'm actually one of the few on the forum who seems to think that she does make a valuable second to Vraes as a melee fighter. With the right build and a good hammer she can often do more damage than him, though she can't take it like he does.

I hate it when the pixies jump on the yellow cloud and dance with the DKs while exuding a miasma of musk, pretzels and candycane. Wait ... that makes no sense whatsoever. I think if you go Melee with her she has to spend points on Smite, which means no points for Shield. Which means Vraes has to use an actual shield instead of a 2H weapon -- tricky, because she almost needs STR or CON points to stand front line. You are going to love the Paladin =) |

I melee with my cleric as an off tank. Dash in, throw 2 attacks, dash out. Sometimes they hit sometimes they don't. Maybe get 1 in 9 these days. Not going to do that often as I am building SP, accuracy and effect for the long range spell attacks.
On the other hand, my Outlander is a freaking bulldozer. I keep his armor at max and I run him with a shield+parry. Sometimes Giant Rats have 3 straight misses.
I hate it when ... ( To continue the thread) ... Giant Rats completely miss me .... and then I completely miss them. (facepalm)

Maybe I'm a nut but I love my cleric as a melee striker. I raise her Strength and Hammers with off points and find her to be pretty deadly. I could just be a sucker for that sweet animation |

I could just be a sucker for that sweet animation My main killer is my Thief. Archery, SP and Dexterity for her and nothing else. She's a butcher. I've had her solo entire fights with guerrilla tactics. On freaking Nightmare. Holy god. rabid PS: I hate it when ... sometimes you do more damage with the normal Bow and Arrow instead of Aimed Shot V. Arrrgh! |
