Just wondered if greying out, or recolouring the buttons in the hotel, to show that there is not enough xp for ANY skills or attributes, would help give an at a glance indicator. Also recolouring or greying out the unsuitable skills in the errr... Skills section. Ie. Cybersword can't use guns, so xp in gun skill is a waste?

I don't think that would do a good thing for the player.
Those skills may have uses, it all depends and XP variability rates in CK make a universal measure unlikely to satisfy all.
Each player will have a unique approach to XP, as with ST you'll see that the configuration matrix is never to disable.

It's more a case of showing a different colour as a warning, not stopping player choice.

Doesn't work very well, in the end. Tried it, discarded it.
Heroes has the best UX yet, and games after that will just be getting better.
Right now on CK we're focused on other parts of the engine.

I just went to the game and checked. If you go into a hotel, the two buttons that allow you to add xp to your stats, are bright blue. They are bright blue if you have 0 xp or >0. I keep having to go through the stats for my team, just to check if I can assign any points. If the button changed to a darker blue, I would know at a glance, that no matter how many xp my character had; there are not enough to upgrade a single stat. As I said. At a glance indicator.
