Earlier, it was like this:
Enemy torps you, hull gets damaged, but does not go down.
You fire at enemy, your hull realises it is damaged, goes down because of its damage it received earlier.

Didn't armor soak damage when it was destroyed before? Isn't that the point of armor?

On the turn your armor is reduced to 0, the armor is still active as if it was not 0.

So, on the turn you take the hit that destroys your armor your damage rolls still count your just destroyed armor, for that damage sequence.

Still searching for those new rumors. So far I've only found 3 - 2 on syndicate judges and 1 on the faction guild and star traders union.
What's the planet that has the most palace rumours? I'm looking for planets with high palace and economy ratings and lots of records in the exchange. Lots of planets have high hall and economy ratings, but high palace and economy ratings are much harder to find.

EDIT: seems tapella outpost has the most palace rumours. It's a shame it's independent

No, not a bug fix. It's a balancing choice that makes armor about 16% more effective, and over simulation generates a 6% reduction in ram damage based deaths.

It does make ST less likely to kill you outright on Impossible. It is a design change.

Well a 6% reduction in random deaths isn't bad, it still leaves the other 93% that are random and the 99% that are intentionally malicious events the game takes against you if it sees you smile.
