I am also on a 1st Gen Fire and when I checked last night around 6:30pm, mine was updated. I'd been on wifi that morning so it may have updated then. I think there is a lot of variability in update times on Amazon, not sure why.

Odd, mine was still 1.1.33 just before midnight CST, but had updated a few minutes before my last post when I checked it. So sometime between those two times. Nothing TB can do about it, but interesting.
