Are you a Cadar? Are you a Pirate? Are you a non-certified merchant (also known as a smuggler)? Do you have a bounty on your head in any part of Clan Space? If you answered yes to any one of those, I have a reason. If you answered no... I'm going back to doing my job. Good news, you might have a reason now. Just sold into an embargo and i'm now a notorious terorrist to Cadar. Bounty on me's probably around 50k. |

You purchased water-fuel from a planet of a Faction we are banning trade with, cuz you didn't want to sail through 10 AU's of deep space with no fuel whatsoever? Guess who's gonna get a bounty on his head..." It's certainly prudent to have caches of water fuel scattered throughout the quadrant. In fact, some captains have even resorted to having large cargo ships stored in drydock JUST to use as emergency fuel tanks during those embargo situations. Of course, when I hear about a trade embargo with Steel Song, the first thing I do is buy lots from the faction that has that embargo. I haven't yet hit -50,000 in reputation with Steel Song - but I'm clooooooooooooooose |
