We all know this is an Amazon and NOT a TB issue, but I need to vent.
HoS 1.1.37 went live yesterday afternoon and I saw it on Amazon this morning. I've had my Kindle on and connected to WIFI most of the day and still no 1.1.37. Even after repeated, neurotic Syn button pushing. So annoying...
The only thing I can figure is that Amazon delays updates in order to manage the amount of data transfer it must support.

That's pretty crazy. I'm running HoS on the HDX and didn't have any issues getting it updated right away when I saw it this morning. But I've experienced your pain and there seems to be no rhyme or reason on how long it takes to get approval or how long it takes to actually update.
Something I'm interested in knowing is what kind of percentage of downloads (HoS or TB in general) happen via Amazon. It seems like there are always pitifully few reviews compared to the other venues and I'm curious if that's proportional to downloads in general or reflects the less than international spread of Amazon-centric devices. Is this a trade secret?

@rearick - the review counts are decently proportional to the download proportions. Amazon is a very small percentage of installs compared to Google Play.

Im wondering if the google crash has anything to do with it? They seem to connect EVERYTHING through plus, maybe it was a domino effect

The funny thing is that earlier this week I posted in another thread about how Amazon updates were coming within 24 hours for me. That was true, the last couple of updates seemed to happen quickly for me, but this one is dragging.

1.1.37 just updated for me a couple of minutes ago. That is under 36 hours.

Lol... best delay ever. I think it takes google about 2 hours after TB posts it, Amazon with 48 hrs, apple about 2 years (double checks math)...yep...looks about right.
I'd thought what I'd do, was pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes- Catcher in the Rye/G.I.T.S SAC

Fire 1st gen Pretty much 36-48 hours for an update. HoS is the only TB app I've followed this closely.
Don't get me started on Apple. They have been ATFU since Jobs released the Mac & then got kicked out before he could start to recover the customers that MacOS had shoved in the cold. Even Jobs coming back didn't really help the corporate "we're a special niche group" mentality they've had since 1985.

So when Cory Trese posts something like New Character Imminent! My heart skips a beat, but then I heave a little sigh when I remember that I get to wait on Amazon. Can't wait...

It's already submitted to Amazon ... could be a day or less. =) So, I guess I can't complain too much. It was updated on Amazon at 7 am eastern today (between 12 - 15 hours from when it was submitted). It seems like Amazon knocks off over the weekend. Updates submitted to Amazon on Friday night or later I don't typically see until first thing Monday morning (with one recent exception). But these midweek updates have had very quick turn around.

We try to put the big ones out on a schedule that allows rapid approvals by Amazon. You'll see we often do Thursday/Friday releases.
