I am trying to get this for the medical bay. Yet my high score was rank 21 for Thulun. Please, can anyone give me tips for starting factions,classes, and just tricks to quick rank ups. So far my unlocked ships are the starting ship and the Picky Beggar. Thank you!
P.S. I would also appreciate where to split up my XP as an idiot, I will say this: My XP will usually ALL go to warrior and strength.

For rep, participate in solar wars and spy battles with both factions once you have rank and warrant with both. For credits, increase Intimidate to get more blockading or take contracts with high rep or trade into shortages. For XP, as a boarder, you want 12+ tactics for blockades and surveillence. Increase Intimidate to increase profit from blockading. Split the rest of XP between pilot and warrior. Warrior you need for board succeed but you also need pilot to evade enemy attacks. Play as a military officer class because you will get a discount for military promotions for ALL factions.
TIP: You don't want to start participating in conflicts until you have sufficient skills, rep, warrants and rank.
DOUBLE TIP: Medical bay is pretty much useless: does not help for combat nor exploration, only decreases crew deaths for accidents. As long as you have plenty of water fuel, battleship, mercenaries, advanced bridge or water tank will be much more beneficial to you.
