phaze - as an undocumented game effect, it is also a not-yet-implemented game effect. Raise Willpower if you want higher Resistance, but we haven't finished its support to bounce curses yet (and when it does, it will be a visibly different result).

tenbsmithI was quoting Fallen's comment regarding willpower affecting curses sticking. This is an undocumented game effect, and what I wanted elaboration on. The statement made it seem like willpower has additional effects beyond improving resistance, therefore making it much more valuable to put points into. If certain Ep 2 battles are any indicator, curses in the later part of the game are likely to be terrifying even to the stoutest of Vrae's character builds. The worst part is how the interaction of curse vs. remove curse works. Too many times I've seen: Curse -> Get beat on while cursed -> Cast remove curse -> Curse -> Get beat on while cursed -> Rinse/repeat OTOH, I've watched Curse -> Get beat on while cursed -> Heal damage & ignore curse while trying to kill curse caster -> Cursed again, which gives the benefit of the NPC doing the cursing burning up their AP & Spirit recursing someone who is already cursed.

algesan, I just had "Curse -> beat on while cursed -> Heal damage & ignore curse -> Cursed again." I agree that in that situation it isn't work removing the curse until the curse thrower is dead.

How are -Damage debuffs handled?

Oh, should have expected that. Does it affect all types of damage? Like for example if an enemy has 20 Phys bonus dmg and 20 Fire bonus dmg, will something that reduces dmg by 40 reduce both to 0? If so is there an order, suppose it's 30 for both types, which gets reduced first?

plunk the curses that do -Dmg only affect physical damage dice. To stop magical damages, build up your resistance.

Anyone know how Juggernaut's numbers work? Mega and Ultra don't really tell me a lot.

Another question does Phalanx Shield % chance to block Ranged Attacks affect Damage Spells too? Or just Physical stuff like arrows and thrown knives? I ask since the game seems to treat those two types of ranged attacks separately.

During any battle where the player is automatically given initiative, does that count as a surprise turn for Silent Stalker?

Couple more questions, in the thread for Vincent's Talents it's mentioned that Eye of the Storm only affects his Ranged Talents, then mentions Tamilin's Deadly Intention works the same way. However, when I checked her Slash Talent, the Crit bonus from Deadly Intention shows up. So do Crit buffs affect all attacks?
Also, say an enemy has 0 Lightning Res and 50 Res, if I hit it with an effect which causes -50 Lightning Res, then hit it with an attack that has up to 25 bonus Lightning damage, will that bonus damage be still be completely nullified?

plunk - Crit % affects all attack types. Accuracy can be specific (melee or ranged) or all (if it just lists "Accuracy"). Yes, depending on the dice rolls that 25 dmg could be completely nullified.

Wait, only could be? Isn't half of damage resistance always applied? So wouldn't 1-25 damage be always resisted by 50 reduction?
Also do attacks that cause debuffs simply require that the attack hit or does thr attack need to do at least 1 damage
