Sleeping Dogs and Jungle book.

After spending his teenage years amongst other people, Mogli finds that the skills he developed as a child in the jungle lend themselves well to the art of investigation. After spending several years as an unlicensed private investigator helping his local tribesmen, Mogli still finds that he doesn't really belong with the locals. Armored Core: Verdict Day, and Captain America: Civil War. Possible spoilers for Civil War below, sort of.

The Avengers, a mercenary team of mech pilots working for Sirius Corporation, argue amongst themselves about the variety of contracts and missions they should be allowed to take. They eventually form two groups opposed to each other, one being led by Captain Sirius, piloting an annoying-but-effective kickbot, and the other by Iron Mech, piloting something fast with too many laser weapons.
The two groups fight each other outside an airport which gets totally destroyed, but somehow they all survive. Captain Sirius and Iron Mech then put aside their differences and go to the far north of Asia to destroy the base of an enemy faction, but Captain Sirius accidentally kicks Iron Mech to death.

Yep, seems like a fitting way to combine them. Got to watch out for those kickbots in Armored Core: VD.
