Also if you have a few deaths in big fights, the xp can add up quickly. Oh ... I thought when you died mid-way through a battle, you were "restored" back as though the event never occurred (and with the enemy trigger point reset. Is this not the case?

slayernz - the trigger point is reset, and you don't get any XP for the turn.

OH ... for the turn? So if you are like 10 turns into a battle taking out some Deathkin and other big beasties, you could reset taking 9 turns worth of XP gains with you?

slayernz - the trigger point is reset, and you don't get any XP for the turn. Just the turn you died on and not the entire fight? So if I kill off say the Great Shaman but leave a single Bow Rat alive, then let the Bow Rat kill a character a couple turns later I'd get all the XP plus be able to repeat the battle for more XP?

xdesperado - at the end of the day, there are lots of ways to cheat a game. Fortunately, this will actually not pay off in the long run. Trust me that you will be sorry you did it. Yes, you'd get ahead in levels, which means you are more powerful than the monsters you are facing, which means you'd gain drastically less XP when killing them. Which means you'd quickly fall back to where you should be, and have wasted a lot of time and effort. Maybe it was fun letting that Bowrat kill you though!
