So I bought all the awards after playing this game for some time. (I found I didn't have the patience to attain all the awards on crazy) Any ways I have something of a problem. I can view some of the upgrades but still cannot purchase them. e.g. Hyperion gun decks. I finally came across some on my homeworld, was able to view them but not install even though my bankroll was more than sufficient. no upgrades were yet installed in that slot. A few turns later I came across them on an independent world and was able to install them after visiting the palace and logging my exploits. A new ship later I had the same problem but this time I still can't install them. Is this a bug or am I not getting something? The character in question is rockin along on challenging with an explorer/assassin.

The character in question is rockin along on challenging with an explorer/assassin. I'm no expert at the game but i do know that you will only get certain upgrades on crrtain planets. If you untick 'show all upgrades' it will only show upgrades available on that planet. Also be aware that by installing some upgrades will stop you getting othed upgrades in that field. It tells you if an upgrade can he changed as well. For example you can't have two combat upgrades at the same time. Hope that makes sense to you! |

The character in question is rockin along on challenging with an explorer/assassin. Upgrades availability is dependent on world, colony values and some random chance. Not all Starports will have all upgrades, in fact, that only usually happens when the "Starport Expansion" rumor comes up. It sounds like the Unlock code is working (if it says "Purchased" in the Game Store, it is working) and you're experiencing the standard Upgrade shopping that players do when they want something specific, rather than any available boost for their open slot. |

I understand you only get some upgrades certain places. that isn't the issue. this is actually spiff. I have found that in order to get some of the upgrades, you need to exit to the main menu reenter the game. go back to the star port and the upgrade that you could only view previously is now purchasable. this glitch seems endemic to the new androids. I'm rockin a RAZR Max hd.

yes this actually spawned another thread under bugs. I posted originally thinking I wasn't grasping a mechanic of the game. turns out its a glitch. sometimes when I go for a viewable upgrade. I can't purchase it. even after recording exploits at the palace. what I found is I have to exit to the main menu then reenter the game to actually install said upgrades. now that I've got it figured out I'm good. thanks for an awesome game!
