Getting that much was with my level 142 explorer on crazy. Statistics are 108/90/108/24, skills are 50/108/35/90/90/24/108. Requires pretty good planet, scout officer, about 50 records in hold. I generally go round with a hyper freighter (+20% hold, +7 hold, +20/+30% hold/crew, +5 engines, +4 sails), and send all 89 crew at once.

Wow, that's gonna hurt when he dies! I have a little way to go to reach that sort of level. I'm playing a Cadar Pirate at level 85 on Hard (my best ever level achievement) 41/70/74/35, 1/74/6/70/71/35/41. My beautiful baby is a Slayarz Cruiser maxed out with 73 engines from Titan Components and Ancient Reactors plus the obligatory Escape Shuttle and a Sail Command Probe. Still not sure what to do for interior... All the dockyards seem to only have 2 or 3 upgrades available at the moment. Just travelling from place to place looking for a well stocked Star Dock, best buddies with all the syndicates, hated enemies of the Houses and blasting any Steel Song along the way... WTF De Valtos, why have you allied with them?!? Oh well, I'm +3125 with you so my rep can take a little hammering. I'm certain that when you play as Cadar the "torp" button in combat is larger than for other factions.

for that ship I'd go Hyperion bridge if you roll with a combat officer (vet, templar, bh or military)

Did do. Pilot, Military and Mechanic are my commerades.
At level 100, I bought a Dragon Carrier for the torps but got blown up... escape shuttle got mugged on way to nearest planet... farewell, cruel galaxy...

In truth it was my fault. I underestimated the planet and my men paid the ultimate price. I remember it all to clearly. "there it is, the beast." "where? Behind the rabbit?" "it Is the rabbit" "pshhh... I thought you were serious." "I'm warning you, it's got huge fangs like... And it can jump really far... Look at its muscles." "Johnson go get it." "one rabbit stew coming right up............... Ahhhhhh" "that rabbit's dynamite" "i warned you, did you listen? Noooo." ............. If only we had listened oh the massacre... And don't even get me started on teddy bear valley. In all seriousness though I think it's weird that you can get massacred on benign planets especially since I had an explorer officer and my explorer lvl was 15 or 16. Shouldn't the worst thing on those planets be gnats or bee stings. It's happened to me a few times (usually on repeat exploration missions). Does repeating explorations make it more likely to suffer casualties? Sorry dude, It's my rabbit. I've been looking for it all over. The little minx (yes its female) shacked up with that tenacious murderous son of a ***** Bun Bun, and she just went feral. rabidbite

for that ship I'd go Hyperion bridge if you roll with a combat officer (vet, templar, bh or military) Wait advanced bridge says it stacks with pilot, and its th sail command probe that states it stacks with with officer bonuses. Did you switch thm up? If iget the bridge with the MO, BH and Templar all on-board, what benifits will I get? Increased boarding? Reduced casualties when I board?

Rule of thumb: Everything stacks

Rule of thumb: Everything stacks what does that mean? And so then shouldnt the advanced bridge's "stacks with pilot officer" be changed to "stacks with officer bonuses"? And why does sail command probe say "stacks with officer bonuses" as opposed to "stacks with pilot officer"? Sorry, just trying to understand how the upgrades work.
