Congrats!
For the Serpent Tooth, I suggest creating a Cadar Pirate in your new Tempus Fugit, and start out preying only on the royal houses. Work hard to stay on the good sides of the Syndicates.
Your first priority is getting a good ship and upgrading it fully. I suggest a Spear, Terror, Raptor, or Jango Class. As far as upgrades, I suggest this build: Ancient Reactors (+6), Heavy Bulkheads (+2), Water-Fuel Tank (~25), Advanced Sail Systems (25%), Omni-Stealth Array.
Once you have a decent ship and have it upgraded, start ranking up in Cadar while you build up your skill levels.
Once you you have your fully upgraded ship, get your tactics at 15+, and your pilot and stealth skills up to 25+ , you are ready to move onto the blockade stage of the game.
Once you are ready to blockade, your target will be whichever Syndicate you have the lowest faction with already, unless they are allied with Cadar currently.
Just blockade the crap out of either De Valtos Prime or Rychart Prime, using the appropriate closeby Cadar planet as a base, until you get wanted by them, and then keep doing it until the time requirement passes.
Voila!

That means unlocking the stealth array, which I haven't done yet. A lot of my unlocks have been unintentional, save for a few that you clearly have to try for. I also don't have a whole unlocked yet. Ironically, I have water-fuel tanks unlocked, but have only seen them available once.

Unlocking the stealth array shouldn't be too hard while you are in the process of doing this. Just buy some cheap upgrades for your Tempus Fugit as you level up to level 10.
I would go with Reinforced Prow (+1), Heavy Bulkheads (+2), Advanced Sail Systems(25%), and maybe, just maybe Water-Fuel Tank (~25) or Cargo Vault (+12) if you have the extra cash and one of them is available.
If you somehow get lucky and have the chance to capture one of the ships I listed beforehand, only do it if you have enough cash saved up to pay for whatever the repairs you will need. If you do capture one before reaching level 10 in your tempus fugit, don't worry. Just make a character solely for the purpose of unlocking it. Cheers!

woohoo... I did it. I did it differently. I got a fast ship and pretty much declared war on 2 clans and one syndicate before the end of my second year. 24 years into crazy and I won my new ship.

:-D . Although I think I'm going to start a new game though cause I butchered my relationship with 4 factions beyond repair and the 2 pro factions are just +25-30. Also I want to get an award for 10 rank with all factions.

So, I'm having issues actually getting the Omni-Stealth Array. I'm not really sure what I should be doing differently than I normally do. Of course, lately I've been second guessing the tactics and strategies I use for the various classes. The worst part is knowing what stats are useful to what class. For example, Military officers start with 6 Warrior and 6 Intimidation. But wouldn't they also want Pilot and Tactics as well? Or is Pilot more for Merchant-type captains?
This is probably the wrong thread to ask that in. Oh well.

HateSolstice: Most captains will want Pilot so they can fly big ships. Captains who fight will want Tactics/Stealth as well. Captains who fight and board will need to add Intimidate/Warrior as well. Captains who trade may want Negotiate, they will want it if trading is a major part of their game. Explorer is pretty much just for explorer's. So, yes, Military Officers (especially if they plan on doing bounty contracts and are thinking of boarding) will need Pilot, Stealth, Warrior, and Intimidate. They and Bounty Hunters can ignore pretty much just two skills, Negotiate and Explorer. It is my opinion that this required spread is one thing that makes them among the harder classes for me to do well with. I usually do best with captains that only need a few skills, and Pirates (who can live with just Pilot/Stealth once they get "their ship") are the easiest of all for me. -abs

I don't have any of the "special" classes unlocked yet. A lot of the tiime I've put into the game was just messing around with no goals in mind. It's only been recently that I've been interested in getting really good and also busting out those achievements.
