So, I sat down to really read The Lone Wolf Diaries. There are some interesting statements of logic that I love because they fit very well with low level intelligence. This is hilarious. If that thugger doesn't know anything, SHUT UP! It fits so well with the dumb thug image. This is very indicative because this cements that in ntsheep ;s cyber knight world, there ARE city codes and Bravestar is supposed to be enforcing them, or Bravestar believes its city codes cover all of New Boston, regardless of who really controls what area. Also, 3 other things come to mind. 1. The Bravestar enforcer finds the thugger too stupid to provide adequate information. 2. Life is cheap. Ganger life is not worth anything. Pretty sure a corporate dweeb wouldn't get shot dead like that. 3. Shows the utter ruthlessness of Bravestar in stamping out that which 'doesn't fit'. Now this line is interesting: Bravestar IS a megacorporation that builds cyber knights. Just like everyone else. It shows an interesting perspective of selective blindness by our Bravestar enforcer. AKA, if its a Bravestar Cyber Knight, then obviously, its ok and doesn't need to be thought about at all. It's when the OTHERS build Cyber Knights that they are scum. There are a lot of other tidbits I find fun. rabid

Thank you rabidbite for the input. I wish I could say that I planned some of it out, but my writing style tends to be "on the fly". I have to look sometimes at what I just wrote to understand it myself. The Lone Wolf Diaries started out as just the Mars Corp file when someone started a thread asking players about the background story of their Knights. I meant for it to look like an old data file on a monochrome monitor but couldn't find the old style font of the early PC's. It then grew into its on thread with me putting in the TRUEBASIC files. As more people started to like it, I started doing more. Like many of my hobbies, this was something that came from a moment of boredom and took off on its own. CR's way of talking was just my being lazy and not spell checking\proof reading before I did the post. When I then read it, I meant to change it but you're right that it does lend to the dumb thug image very well. JE will be a major character in the story more and more. Although he does his job as he is told, that little bit of "good cop" is becoming more and more upset with the way things are. To me Bravestar is not really a Megacorp, I think of them as what was left of the Boston PD before it became privatized during the fall and rebuild of the NBZ. Whether it's by accident or planned by the TB's, you see BS officers all through the NBZ. Many guard Mars Corp security towers. The city code idea came from the game itself. The Boston Morgue guard refers to a city code. It may be a few more days or week or so before I post anything new. I'm trying to bring the parts together now and get it into one cohesive story line.
