This is in Construct Depths and there's a weird tile just to the right of Vraes.
Second, there is a big North/South hallway in this level and there is an ambush/fight as you enter the hallway and one or two more going north. There are two chests each at the south end and north end of the hallway. In each set one of them stayed red after killing all enemies. This is where I discovered red chests could be unlocked by a double application of Precision Pick. However, of those four chests only one had anything in it, the other three were empty. I believe it was the southern blue chest that gave me some goodies. Something fishy is going on.

If we both did, how many more that aren't on the forums are missing out on loot by making the same mistake? You said it's a known bug, I can only assume a fix is on the way? As always, I really appreciate the hard work you guys do. Keep it up, don't get discouraged! :-)

Thanks, fixed the tile.
1) The Red-locked chests are Boss chests. When their associated Boss dies, they turn Blue and the boss loot is released. 2) There is a bug that lets you open these Red-locked chests before their Boss is dead (Vurnak). In this case, if you leave the chest alone until you kill Vurnak, you will get all the loot. We will fix this in the next release so you cannot open them if the boss is still alive. 3) There is a class of bugs where an author puts in a Red-locked chest but fails to assign a valid boss to the monster group. The Red-locked chests in that long north-south hallway in Construct Depths fit this category - misplaced bosses. In this case #2, there is nothing you can do to get the loot until the next release in which, both are fixed!

This also happens during the shaman boss fight. Bitter disappointment.

@officergenios - which one? Hopefully you can explain using the key I provided above, as there are 2 options. #2 - you opened the chest earlier. #3 - you killed the boss and the chest did not turn blue.

Oh sorry, I meant double-lockpicking red chests to get nothing at all. I was like, what kind of sick monster-

Telling Tamilin to face her problems instead of taking whatever isn't nailed to the ground and haulin' ass? You must be crazy!!

Resurrecting this cause had an empty chest in construct depths... southern most boss chest (but it no longer had locks of any type).
I could have sworn I opened them all, but came back up from the pits to hit great forges and was like, oh I missed one... empty... was this because I left the map with an unlooted boss chest or is it just an empty one? I could revalidate my steam install again, but I don't have another party ready to hit it to check...
