Hello, I love this game, but there are some ideas I had... still newish so please tell me if I haven't encountered anything.
1. Deep space repair and upgrade fleets.
HUGE space docks that drift among the stars that you can trade with for upgrades and repairs but accepts ONLY raw materials and not credits for work.
2. Sabotage spaceport .
Nuke the planet from orbit under orders, closes spaceport. Failure means that you still nuked the space port, but didn't get away without being ID'ed so that faction is super pissed at you. As your ship is captured "That is simply not done by civilized people" *cycles the airlock*
3. Investigation missions relating to events on a port.
"As I'm sure you are aware there was a recent shortage of chemicals on X we suspect it was Y sabotaging the spaceport at Z. Perform surveillance Y and pick up the trail"
Then you lead your crew on a merry little jaunt around the galaxy looking for saboteurs.
3. A Gamble option in every spice den.
What do you mean my spice smoking, heartless pirate captain can't gamble away his ill gotten gains in a spice hall after blowing the crap out of a ship for sheer enjoyment??
4.Q-ships and the like. Ships that look like merchant ships but are really warships... used to eat pirates as a military captain.
5. Covert raid.
Merc raiding on storehouses of goods or ships for profit. requires expenditure of capital, exposes the crew to danger, but unlike harvest allows you to choose what you are stealing.
6. Hijacking
you take x crew, y weapons and electronics and attempt to jack a ship in dock. SUPER PISSES off faction stolen from.
7. Buy new Identity
Cash in everything but 25% and be given a small ship, starting over with -5 rep with all factions since something about your story "just doesn't make sense"
8. Impress
Just like enslave but happens in port. There are x sailors in willing to join up with you and y total. Used to happen all the time in the man o war days, I mean if you pull a gun and say "Deck hand or Fertilizer" I think some would choose deck hand.
9. Buy on credit with syndicates
For a share of the treasure they extend you a credit line as a privateer. miss a payment and they repossess your ship and put you in debt prison.... or the ground.
10. Raise morale
If in deep space your morale is low, discipline them by spacing a few crew members or decimating them.... I mean in the literal sense, decimate them.
11. After high enough reputation officers come to YOU.
Yay?
Nay?
hashed over before??
