I have played several RPGs that allow you to re-train your characters 1 or more times, re-allocating exp/skill points. The cost of this is usually steep but not impossible, and the availabilty is limited or cost-prohibitive for multiple re-specs.
I think this would be beneficial to the game, but I am not sure if it is within the scope intended by the Brothers.
Mainly it would help keep you from needing to scrap a knight you took in the wrong direction. I also see a benefit for Brutal players such as myself, who manage to keep a knight alive to a decent XP total that want to go back and spend the XP in a more cost-effective manner.
All, please discuss the following things:
1. Mechanic of delivery-data harness reset, mystic tibetan monk teacher, sharp blow to the cranium, etc.
2. Availability-How often/easily should you be able to do this.
3. Cost-XP cost (such as converting runners), in game cash, permanent DV, etc.
4. Game balance impact-What could get broken by this.
Thank you!

Tenebrous Pirate - it is not the kind of thing we are likely to do in a Trese Brothers game! Not intended, and would allow a very unrealistic shift away from the skills that you used to get you this peak, to a completely new set of skills.
