:/ seems as though I'm doomed to be a lowly level 18 holy executioner in the cadar syndicate. I've got 692 Rep. -500 or so with all the others. I can't get promoted any more, but I know there's more. I know elite version removes any cap, but the standard was like 23 or something, right?

There are ranks and levels.
Reputation is rank
Levels are based off experience, skill points and what not.
I do not know if ranks go past 18. If they dont u have a hell of a margin before u start losing ranks for pissing them off in trade embargoes and the like

Military ranks are capped at 18 per faction. Levels however are not capped.
