That's up to you. It has a bunch of frightening looking guns on it ... what you do with it is up to you.

Buying millitary ranks still doesn't work on my device. (Asus Memo Pad HD 7, Anroid 4.2.1) Not even a gray button available.

Works for me on that device. What are you seeing?

I just see the normal palace menu, without the death warrant, trade permit and promotion buttons. Like it was before the independent updates.

If it helps: I tried with pirate, explorer, captain and zealot, all on difficulty demanding and pirate on hard too. Everytime the same. No problems with other factions. As a zealot, the game says, that I own the first rank, but whatever I do, I can't get the 2nd one and with other classes I'm still known as "a neutral party".

The Independents do not sell Rank, nor honor Reputation or Permits.

That hasn't changed, sorry -- I was confused. You can buy Ranks as normal from Factions, which is the design.

Ah, okay. Sorry, I'm from germany and my english isn't well. I thought in the description was written something about ranks, but it was "millitary upgrades". Now I got it, thanks. (But the millitary base tells me something about being a ranking officer, but it could be another mistake from me.)

The last update should fix that. If it is not fixed on your device, please post:

1) What type of Android
2) What Android OS version
3) what customization and ROM
