Of course... If I had known about Storm Cleave, or the respec for that matter I might have specced him differently... I'm excited to try them out later- I really think LS is going to come into a class all its own when ES drops the hammer

He has a total of 22 talent points to spread around. ES 8, TB 7 for about 20 weakness/added damage- about +40 lightning damage, effectively. One into FF, two into Charged Speed, then I can drop the rest into LS for a respectable off attack. I think this works........ If I remember correctly only the lightning damage that gets through resistance is doubled, and the lightning damage provided by TB is a die, not a static number. Maxing out TB pays off.

So, getting back into HoS, seeing as BF is taking so darn long to get to phase 2... I'm seriously considering an OG group, and it's making me uncomfortable Vraes runs Phalanx or Stone Skin at high levels, then levels Savage Sweep for accuracy. Kjartan runs Meteoric Shockwave 10 on the boost in. Levels Ash after that. Kyera runs Sac 2 to pay for everyone's talents. Then she brings Ethereal Anguish up to about 6. Rest of her points into Warder's Shield and her Smiting Blow so she can off-tank. Tamilin runs Silent Stalker 6, Blacknight 2, then Max out DI The ENTIRE name of the game is Accuracy removal. With EA 6, SS 6, and MS 10, you can stack an incredible -23 Acc from any one enemy. Freaking 23 Acc. Why bother with boosting team defenses, when the enemy never even lands a blow? Vraes tanks the enemies not affected by the Acc curses, while Kyera handles all the rest. Anyone ever try a group like this? CdrPlatypus I recall you trying it, but was it sucessful?

En1gma I tried an OG group that I got to Brelin Peaks on NMI before 1st death. It operated on a similar accuracy removal principle, but went about it al la natural leveling. I had KJ go ash to 5 bank 1 pt then 2 into meteoric shockwave. I think ash is more important overall, Kyeras first goal for me was MT 3 and EA 6 (MT becuase SSK Vraes) tam was blacknight 2 di => 1 pt silent stalker then DI => max . Overall Upping her crit is more important than increasing the curse on silent stalker. Death is the best curse especially by on hit kill through the eye shot. For Vraes I went 2-handed spear, SSK, NM, BOS, 1 pt in FEROCITY (at lvl 7 i think) Some things to consider. You can over curse accuracy. -accuracy only affects enemy bonus accuracy, not base accuracy. Anyways I had some fun with it. Not as safe as Iron Curtain or Tap Dancers, but my goal was to build a group inspired by the character artwork of the OG

Note: all of the point may vary, so I didn't put any specific numbers
Kincaid Focused on: Lunge, Sure Parry, and Storm of Steel
I feel as if Kincaids Sure Parry ability makes him a great juggernaut. I gave him a good amount of parry and dodge equipment, along with a boat load of health, therefore allowing him to take a lot more hits than usual. His Lunge and Storm of Steel abilities allow me to deal massive amounts of damage as well.
Kjartan Focused on: Firebolt, Burning Blades, and Immolation (three points did go into Choking ash)
Kjartan is the damage dealer of my group. While his attacks do consume a lot of SP, they deal enough damage to kill most mobs in 1-2 hits.
Fyona Focused on: Zealous Strikes, Hammer Blow, and Blessed Aura
Fyona heals my team and keeps them alive. That is 75% of her role on my team, while the other 25% consists of her dealing intermediate melee damage.
Selen Focused on: Pinning shot, Punishing Blades, and Masterful Disarm
She debuffs the enemy team and deals intermediate ranged damage.

VraesrialFor Kincaid I would suggest maxing cunning footwork before going into sure parry For KJ I would pick Firebolt, Immolation, Or firestorm, but only one and focus on it. Decid if you need Single target or aoe more in your group. Also It depends on difficulty lvl, but choking ash 10 is amazing for any group Fyona: Invest in SoC For Selen Do not lvl masterful disarm. There is currently no reason to. Also don't forget dance of shadows If you want to have her do ranged and melee cursing you will want atleast lvl 3 for the extra 2 mp. Have fun

I am starting a team that will focus on adding mp to me while taking away from the uglies. I will wear the best armor and have the highest damage weapons. I will focus mainly on dexterity to make sure i get my hits in. Here r my characters and the skills i will focus on. Vraes Stone skin Natural mastery Burst of speed Crushing blow Juggernaught Fyona Shield of cortias Blessed aura Rightous fever Holy stickening Reconing Salen Punishing blades Pinning shot Dances of shadows Sly look Steel and shadow Vincent Flash freeze Thundering blades Energy storm Charging speed Lightning spear Any advice you are willing to give will b appriciated. I personaly see salen being the key in this build. I think she will be a whirling dervish of steel and blood. Thnx for the wonderful games.

For vraes Dex does not effect accuracy unless he is using light blades
Dex does not effect Fyona s accuracy
Dex does not effect Vincent s spell accuracy
Dex does increase dodge and provide defense against arrows
With a stoneskin vraes consider running battlefield devotion instead of blessed aura

I've recently been playing around with my builds and other stuff, and remembered what some people said about my build (see my earlier post). Here are a few things....
1: Chocking ash, or whatever, can easily be replaced by Selens pinning shot. It does basically the same thing and also happens to deal damage to multiple targets.
2: Dance of Shadows was decently useful. To be honest, Kincaid seemed to be a favorite target for enemies. Selen didn't have a chance to get hit.
3: Shield of Cortias is amazingly useful. Fyona could already take multiple hits, and now she can take even more.
4: Firestorm was useful later on, after I respect-ed. Immolation is actually really good for quite a while, considering SP is something I highly value.
5: Putting points into Masterful Disarm was so that I could get several traps eliminated in one go. It is rather annoying to do it one at a time.

Pinning Shot is a great substitute for Ash, for the Parry/Dodge aspect, for sure. The one thing it doesn't do is an Armor curse... Which effectively leaves this up to her in the late game once she levels up Punishing Blades. Unless of course you go with Strickening from Fyona. Reducing Resistances is as effective as reducing Armor IMO, but only if you focus on Burning/Thundering Blades, or use an AoE on your Mage. I know that hitting traps one at a time is a pain in the ass, but honestly once you get past E1, the concentration of traps thins out completely until you get into the CoD. There are still traps, but none of them are frequent or dense enough to justify putting anything into the skill... I would be interested in an in depth breakdown with HP/SP, Talent/Skill/Attribute allocations, just because this kind of thing is my kind of thing

I find that choking ash cannot be easily replaced at all. It's a curse which means it will hit 100% of the time and can be fired over walls (out of line of sight) and its a trifecta of pain. I've tried various other talent combos and nothing is as sp, ap, and talent pt efficient at increasing group damage. That said strickening + energy storm + thundering blades = hax, but leaves the group with less defenses. so a lot depends on whether you want a group for fun or for nmi. note to En1gma I'm strongly thinking about another run with some vs of Iron curtain. I just can never seem to find a group dynamic I like as much.

Strickening plus multiple elemental damage beats Ash by far coming Episode 3. Combine with Shield of Cortias, Flash Freeze and the frontliners' inherited defensive talents. Ash is stronger early on though. It's effective for everyone from the first point to the tenth. Strickening needs heavy investment before it gets effective.
