ROFL, after 1 fight I found 3 chests and about 6 SP pots. So I am ok for now. I still want to head back to town though...

When you drop down, you need to fight your way south, through some scripted fights... Once you get far enough, the thief should show you the rubble that you can climb. It should be due south of the first drop down, and will be a white/silver color with light rays coming down from the top. I'll look for a game that is in Oskahold, give me a few...

There are areas of rubble you can use to climb up to the vault. You can't get back to Oskahold until you go through like 3-4 fights, so pace yourself and keep your health up as best you can. Play super defensive, and just make it through. Chances are good you'll see your first death down there if you can't keep your front line safe... Be. Careful. Good sir. Where is the rubble area in? The first dungeon? I am desperate When you approach the first one, there is a dialog that specifically points it out. This picture shows one -- just left of the campsite

Here is the specific one you need-- Kincaid is at the rubble, everyone else is pointing back where you dropped down.

OMG, guys. That was brutal. I found a stairway in a fight with 2 shamans and their minions. I had zero consumables after the fight, and everyone's SP was spent, and Selen was down to 30 HP or so. But no one died! This game is very challenging even at Normal

But no one died! This game is very challenging even at Normal It gets way easier once the learning curve tapers off, at least it did for me. If you have a battle in hand, and your enemies are cursed on their dodge and/or parry then you can start to use basic attacks to save on sp. Generally speaking curse first, since they are guaranteed hits, then cursing attacks 'cause they cause dmg and make enemies easier to hit and/or dmg. Then spend remaining ap scouting the shadows or repositioning if needed, otherwise empowered attacks if needed, else basic attacks if the battle is mostly won i.e. AoE and extra dmg potential of empowered attacks are no longer important. Buff between battles rather than spending ap in combat when possible. You can let some buffs remain expired when combat is under your control. Personally I tend to kill things based on how much dmg they can do to me vs how many hp they have left, if being in range is equal. Say one can hit me for 50, but has 300 hp, and another can hit me for 30 but has 120 hp, I'm gonna kill that 120 guy cause I can kill two of them and possibly save myself 10 pts of dmg, or if there's no second of that 120hp type, then at least I'm pretty sure I can take that 1 down, while 300hp may require lucky rolls. It gets more complicated with enemies that curse, but in general that order of attacks helps me mitigate the dmg I take.

I curse first - though my curses are mostly defensive and makes the mobs hit less hard, rather than make them easier to hit. I will try to play with your target priorities then. The only issue is that I don't currently know which mobs do what

achilles73 you should be getting dodge cursing with ap cursing. EA and FF both curse dodge, as does CS if you go for that later, PS drops parry and dodge.

Dying a few times (especially on your first run through) is natural. Your score does not suffer much for it, just don't die hundreds of times!

Seriously though-- don't sweat the score on your first run through. Just enjoy the story and get to know the game. It's only your first run, and to get to the Krete without biting it is an accomplishment in itself.

I can't believe I died. I pressed turn finish button by mistake ... On our feature request list to add a confirm if your party combined has more than 10 remaining AP.
