What's PB? I think I will definitely get Energy Storm and get some elemental gear, too. By the way, I just finished the Orcin Stronghold fight. I think this was the toughest RPG fight I have ever had - and in a "normal" game! Wow. I died the first time, because I didn't know what to expect. But the second time, I simply headed to the left corner where the Orc berserker was, and scrolled up. I don't think I win this fight without the elemental damage scrolls. Are there vendors that sell them? PB is punishing blades, Selen's melee curse of armor and dmg. That will raise everyone's phys dmg on the targets the curse has applied to. Only use energy storm if you're making that primary attack/curse for your whole team to use +lightning dmg via TB/gear imo. Otherwise if lightning spear focus on the best lightning gear going to vincent and eventually raised eye of the storm for extra LS crits. Edit: Flanking unity would also raise top end dmg and acc for every team member. Ah, ok. I actually have Punishing Blade quite high, and I still have trouble getting through Orcin armor. Ok, I will get either Energy Storm or Flnking Unity then. By the way, I am on the respec screen for Kyera now. I will probably get Ethereal Anguish to replace Holy Retribution, as I don't think I need both Holy Retribution and Banishment. But now does that mean Flash Freeze is redundant with Ethereal Anguish? Or does having both AP curses pretty high can work together?

With one 2ap curse and another 1ap curse you can use the 1ap curse on 2ap enemies, the 2ap curse on 3ap enemies, and both curses on enemies with 4ap to bring all enemies down to the min 1ap quickly. Remember that curses which also attack, the attack must do dmg for the curse to take effect, so make sure PB is hitting hard enough to cause dmg for the amor curse to be in effect, then more phys dmg will get through for each subsequent attack on the cursed target.

I meant I am trying to get 2 AP curses for both Kyera and Vincent. Does this have some synergies - or are they redundant? My thinking was this: Both Ethereal Anguish and Flash Freeze have secondary debuffs other than AP stripping. So I am thinking stacking them on top of another is worth it? Also, in the really difficult fights, 1 curser doesn't seem enough to curse everyone in the first round. So perhaps 2 working on it is better. Did I make a mistake?

It's not a mistake exactly, but more than 3ap cursing in not optimal imo because no enemy has more than 4 ap so far and they always have 1 ap (except if a bug gets introduced). FF and EA both curse dodge which has a big effect on ranged acc and moderate effect on melee acc., but dodge can't go negative so extra cursing past 0 enemy dodge is wasted. EA has the advantage of cursing enemy acc. a bit. EA is better at hitting spread out targets cause it can hit 3x a round and FF hits a potentially larger area up to 2x a round. If you decide to make Vincent a dmg booster via ES cursing lightning res and TB adding acc and lightning dmg, then is may make sense to use Selen's PS for that 3rd ap curse since you'll get a parry curse too. Overall though ap cursing is one of the very best ways to reduce dmg taken so don't think having 4ap cursing as a mistake, but just realise that you're cursing enemies harder than will affect their attacks and dice pools in some cases. But if you wanna curse things hard and fast it's not a bad strategy.

Kyera's EA is not only cheaper in terms of AP, it also curses Acc, and Vince has so much he can do with his talent points.

But if you wanna curse things hard and fast it's not a bad strategy. Wow, I did not realize that Ethereal Anguish is so much flat-out better than Flash Freee. I better read the tooltip more carefully next time! Less AP AND accuracy debuff, too?! For reference's sake, what kind of dodge values do monsters have? But I am not sure if I want to switch things around completely from my initial build and Kyera go curser and Vincent nuker, since Kyera's nuke has far superior range. Choices, choices... This game surely offers them in bunches. Also, on Selen's Pinning Shot, I want her to be primarily a melee damage dealer and off-tank. So is it worth investing in Pinning Shot when she may only use it to open the fight? Finally, what is your view on the utility of a range 7 curse? Should I push Ethereal Anguish and/or Flash Freeze that far - or just stop at 2 AP debuff?

Kyera's EA is not only cheaper in terms of AP, it also curses Acc, and Vince has so much he can do with his talent points. Yeah, it looks like there is a big gap. I wish I had spotted it sooner; but then once again, I do want to use Kyera's nukes due to greater range. So I may end up with both Kyera and Vincent sharing and alternating curser/nuker roles.

A minor nit. There is one current battle with enemies that have more than 4 ap. Shudder. A dangerous fight for sure.

FF and EA are well balanced but fit different strategies given their overlap.
FF removes up to 12 dodge and also gets better AoE at lvl 2, 6, and a cloud at lvl 10 whereas EA only gets 3x3.
This is why parties really need thoughtful planning for talent development and an overall strategy to guide development.

I entered Ironwood Ridge, and the hounds were top of me as soon as I entered the map. I didn't even have time to reposition, and Vincent got mobbed and died. That is a terrible design. Difficult fight I can stomach; but this was an impossible situation.

Are there ny mobs with 12 or over Dodge?

Are there ny mobs with 12 or over Dodge? Absolutely. Check your own character's Dodge scores and +Dodge from gear/buffs for an idea of how high they can go.

achilles73Range is greater than mp, at least whenever enemies are greater than a 90 degree arc, or 2 steps, from each other. So yes 7 range is definitely worth it if you can afford the extra sp cost of higher level talent or ap cost of a longer range bow. PS is worth it if you are getting the gains from DoS, PB, QsD and sly look (great for scouting large battles) you want from your melee tank/armor curser Selen - getting PS 4 or 5 for AoE at range as well as a decent curse in particular. Using Vincent and Kyera both for nuking and ap cursing can be quite effective, but it's usually better to specialize until about 2 talents are max since the powers of a talent tend to mature more at the high end, AoE in particular as well as spell dmg, than the level 1-2 extras.

I see. I will aim for range 7 then. Pinning Shot is an AoE?! Does Tamlin have an AoE bow attack, too? I see your point with Vincent and Kyera; the only issue was that Banishment does not start until mid or late teens - so I cannot really have powerful nuke with her until mid-20s or so. So I couldn't really wait until she got there, so I ended up leveling Vincent's AoE, too. But since he got pretty high on both of his curses, he simply hasn't been able to get his nuke up to par either. Long story short: So I am still weak on nukes, but I hope it will improve soon.
