The place I need this the most is in the VIP lounges, so that when waiting for Data Courier connectors I can make sure that the team member with the data port and head memory is the one doing the waiting. Alternatively, the Courier Connector could let me have the job if I had the gear on _anybody_ rather than just on the one who did the asking.

grävling - I have added #CK-2445 to address this properly - in that it will check your team for appropriate headware. I am working hard to make switching team members a thing of the past.

Incidentally, what happens to the job when the member of the team with the head memory dies before job completion?

Perhaps a solution to the problem of a team member leaving could be solved be them being rehired on the fly, before they leave they offer to stay but at twice what you would pay to find them in a backroom. I have noticed though, that team members don't leave until you stay at a motel. I have had members that were with me for more than two days after their time was up because I kept downing stims and crammers instead of going to sleep somewhere.

I never put cyberware into my runners until after they become Allies, but if you did I see this funny scene.
You are sitting in the Yakuza VIP lounge in the gambling den and put the word out on the street that you are looking for a runner.
Hmmm. Cibi, Cibi, and Cibi eh? I want the Cibi whose head is full of the data that Benicio wants sent across town, not any of the other Cibis in this town!

A large part of me thinks that the real solution is for Data Courier jobs to only be possible to be done by the person with the quantum crypto chip -- i.e. the Knight, so you cannot equip your runners to do this at all. If you want this work, you need to have your own brain implants,
(and a dataport).

It still would be good if when you have a runner lead, and enter the VIP lounge the Knight could take on a Data Courier job if he or she had the correct equipment.
