captain specific unlocks

How about awards that u can unlock but only for a specific game. Start a new captain and you have to attain that achievment all over again?

It could work for any unlock except for the starting ship type n starting class type.

I can see how this would be a fun replay challenge but I worry that people will post that it is bugged or otherwise misunderstand it and be unhappy with ST:RPG.

We would have to find a way to make them appear very differently or even on a different list. My initial reaction is "oh think of the new players!" =)

I can see ur point. The reason i thought of it is that i, like everyone else unlock several of the same things almost everytime we play a cap'n that lives more than an hour.

I would think the descriptions could be proof rwad before implementation by some of your more discerning and helpful fans.

I notice with the rewards/unlocks alreadt present there r 2 primary characteristics: round / square and what i consider silver/ gold.

If you had them on a separate list i'd make the icon triangular, or other distinctly different shape and use more of a primary color.

If they were on a different lust all together it would help.

What does some of the other players think?

Maybe use it for some special stuff,like discocer a special artifact from a narvidian ship and unlock a new update.

How about a button in the options menu to reset the unlockables? That way if you're bored and want the challenge of unlocking everything again, you can, and if I want to keep the Exo Crawler unlocked, I can.

unique upgrades for the ship? specialized crew? Finding a rare cache of ammunition that hits 50% more accurately? Finding some special armor that stops you from being hurt during duels? Get 8 health points restored in a single sitting - sure you unlock the healing reward, but you also get 50% discount at all Doctor visits for that particular faction (Bulk discount)

There are lots of per-game addons that you could have thrown in that would make game play slightly different but not screw around with the more global awards.
