I made a carrier called the Flying Turtle with 5+ defense and like 8+ repair... and it heals ships for almost 40 hull. :3 It makes my life much, MUCH easier.

There doesn't seem to be a way to remove things from a design that you're working on. I designed a carrier which was going to cost me $100/turn, so I went back to remove some armor and weapons, since I didn't really plan on letting this ship get into a fight, but there doesn't seem to be a way to remove armor. I can change to a different armor. I could have had no armor if I had never selected any, but once you select one type, it seems impossible to go back to having none. Ditto for weapons. Edit: Well, it appears that having at least one weapon is mandatory. Why can't my repair depot be unarmed?

I wanted a helpless depo too, so long as I kept it safe I could make it super-low-cost. Oh well. And I'm consistently broke.
