I've heard of computer programs and a visor you could get that reads your rapid eye movement and pulses a red light thats supposed to nudge your mind into lucid dreaming. But that was on a Beyond 2000 type show a long time ago when the PS1 was the shiznibbit.

I've had lucid dreaming a couple of times - it's pretty cool. First time, I was about to be executed atop a tower (old-school style with an axe), when I noticed it was raining but I couldn't feel it - I then decided to bring everything to ground level and remove the axe from existence, at which point I woke up. Second time, I thought I'd woken up but I actually hadn't - I noticed my room wasn't quite right (looked at the clock and it was 6 AM, but the glow-in-the-dark King of the Dead was still glowing, which stops at around 3), and I woke up for real after that.

Last night I was dreaming I was directing ships in Empire in Exodus (The ST alpha) trying hard to bomb this Xeno planet before the Xeno ships noticed me-- and suddenly I was in the 3D cockpit view. It was clearly still a game, but I was manuvering (without actually seeing my hands... think FPS style) to get the front of the ship and these out-of-place suction cups to stick to a giant Xenos crystal... apparently going into FPS mode makes it more like Domination than a strategy game. I thought to myself, "Yup, definitely a dream. Where the hell did the Trese Bros get all the people required to do this? ... This is kinda awesome though. Totally out of character, but if only they had the manpower/money to really pull this off..." My ship finally got wrecked by an unhappy Xeno and I spent a split-second returned to the strategy layer of the game before I woke up. Ironically, I had put down the alpha for a day or two and just lost a good runner in CK. I guess my mind was really elsewhere. XD

(Just been doing some quick research). I thought lucid dreaming may help you get out of unwanted dream situations dayan, but you could end up not being able to leave a dream, when you know you're dreaming, (like night terrors). A bit swings and roundabouts, really. :/

Hi Officer Genious. I thought you were giving away ST4x secrets, and TB had gone 3D. Getting all excited, I was. Lol.

I had a really weird one where a priest was giving a sermon out in the field and he was up the hill, when suddenly the people stop paying atention, so he just slams his staff on the ground Gandalf style and the whole wolrd inverts its colors. Obviously the people stop what they were doing and pay atention, but the priest was bored, so he told them to go back to the village. On the way back one of the little girls on the village notices that a hill comes very close to the sky, which has a very water like surface and shines like liquid mercury. The little girl goes up the hill and pokes her head through the sky, and all of a sudden her neck gos fish and her gills (which goes around all her neck) start flapping for water.
Then I woke up, wondering why the hell I just dreamt that.

Sounds like an awesome music video. ... To what kind of Music? Voltigorkische Bassrüttler? (I'll try to find a fitting translation for that.. Which won't be very likely, although I don't know if the book that contains these very Words has ever been translated into English. Heh.) Sent from my HTC Desire C with Tapatalk...

@chococrowbar Musician: Fish. Track: Vigil. Album: Vigil In A Wilderness Of Mirrors. Scary simularity? PS. Why is it, when people use UPPERCASE letters, in their sig, Proboards won't display it properly?

I haven't listened to it yet, but it was strange, coming across music, that had fish (little girl), wilderness (fields), and mirrors (mercury sky), all at once.
