Well, the title says it all, for some reason every time the game talks about hounds it is spelled with a mistake i.e. "hund"

Then, fellow Forumer, it's considered a Feature, not a Bug. Sent from my HTC Desire C with Tapatalk...

I have seen this spelling before this game but I looked it up just for clarification: Hund is actually Germanic for dog or hound.

En1gma: Correct, 1. Setzen! ... Maybe the reason why I never wondered about it. And: Don't forget, every time has its accent. 200 years ago, no one would be talking like today, right? And in 2217, the same applies. Sent from my HTC Desire C with Tapatalk...

There is no other in the game as far as I can tell. Bits of other languages make sense if they make sense storywise, otherwise they are just like a sore thumb

If you played any cyberpunk games like Shadowrun, they call it hunds too. It's part of the genre.

It's always hund in Trese Brothers games! In the games, hund generally indicates a breed of dogs that have been bred for war.

It barely registered with me. Been playing CK for some time and just accepted "Hund" as referring to the genetically modified shock glove fodder of the near future. When I saw the same term in HoS, I just accepted it as one of the numerous cross game references that the TB put in their games. Half the bars in CK reference ST (or is it the other way around). I had assumed the Secrets of Steel Club was referring to cyberware, but who knows? In the same vein, love the obscure Hihitchhiker's reference in City Hall.

@drdave Secrets of Steel is the name of the Sequel to Heroes of Steel. Or was it the Sequel to the Sequel? Well, one of those two it was. I guess Cory Trese can tell us more. I, for one, would like to know if the TB have set up a Kickstarter for the HoS sequel. And in what order the names come. Heroes, Secrets,... Ack! Forgot the last one Sent from my HTC Desire C with Tapatalk...

I have seen this spelling before this game but I looked it up just for clarification: Hund is actually Germanic for dog or hound. Since "hund" is actually a word, I never gave it a thought- Especially when we have an "Outlander" in the party. I'm not sure what exactly "Outlander" means, but definitely rings of "not from around here." Characters do mention their different cultures throughout the game so I expect other rarely used/archaic words to pop up from time to time. SIDE NOTE- Selen speaks with a slight Russian accent in my game, so i nicknamed her "Red" :-) It just fits with the hair and accent. This probably would be a good separate Thread: What voice do your characters speak in and why?
