I have a idea it is a little like the thread looking for trouble. In the sense that Both involve looking for trouble but my idea is that somewhere such as the Cyber Knight status screed there are 3 buttons Sneak Your chance of infringers lowers by say 50% however it takes you longer to move. It takes you 1 minute I think to walk 1 grid block in sneak it would take 2. Normal You have a normal chance of encounters and it takes you the normal amount of time to walk. Looking for trouble It takes you 1 minute to walk, but your chance of a violent encounter is increased to being 2 times more likely. This was my first post sorry if I made any spelling errors.

piekl - interesting idea and welcome to the forum! Great first post How do you think you'd use these three as a player?

If I can tell for myself, as a player : The hottest I am, the slowest I move. If using backstreets and making sure the way is clear can help me survive, I will do it. (This one could not only reduce the chances of getting violent event, but also progressively reduce heat as you move stealthy and maybe shake off monitoring sometimes). If I'm just regularly pacing through the NBZ, a hot dog in my hand, I move normally. No need to be too careful nor to draw attention on me. If I'm rushing for a job or need to get out of a zone the fastest I can, I run. No matter how much attention or enemies it can draw on me. (I think that simply "Speed" would be a better name for this one actually ; you run when you can, you push any citizen on your way to keep going fast, that's speeding for me. It could also increase heat progressively as you run.) Hope it helps.

I thought of this because when ever I get a new weapon for myself or for a runner I want to test it out but sometimes it takes me a very long time to get in a fight so I thought having the option to try to get into fights would help that

piekl - you can go straight to your nearest Paramilitary Connector and get a job that almost always guarantees a fight! Cool idea nonetheless! I've added it to our long list for consideration.

So, mainly you'd use it as ways to mitigate moving in the NBZ with Heat. That would kind of work counter to the way the Encounter system is set up. And, considering the nature of the surveillance of heat - everything from drones, to narks on the street, to automated security footage - moving slowly may not actually reduce that Heat register.

My idea about Heat was optional ; the main interest of such a system would be to rush to your near-deadline jobs or to dodge violent encounters (as piekl suggested), really.
