A (known) comprehensive history of the quadrant

On a related topic, I haven't written much on the boards since my series of stories about a year ago ("Turns on a dime")....... because I've been working on a full length novel set in the ST universe! I've let the Brothers know about the project when I started it, and throughout, but the neat news is from just this morning- one of the agents I've queried just requested the whole thing to read, having liked what she read of the first 50 pages. It's early to tell, but this is the first amazingly positive response since I started the process a few months ago

The universe is so rich, thank you Cory and Andrew! I hope I have more great news to share among the enthusiasts of your games in the near future.

Thank you. Who knows, the shalunverse(?) is still in progress. Your work may become canon. I could possibly make mistakes that pass muster, and (not likely, but...) SilverWolf of Refuge Camp may even find his way in someday. With devs like these, I could see them immortalizing major contributors in-game.

Heh! If this thing works, I would totally enjoy incorporating player characters into an ongoing story!

The story involves 3 characters, each telling their part of the story from their POV, and being manipulated by a surviving AI secretly under De Valtos control who wants to escape. The MC's include:

- a young Javat guy who inherits the Vark Mordi from his dying father and gets a career in space, growing into the captain we all wish we could be,

- a young woman who is a Political Officer with poor self-image after being fired from a Bounty hunter's ship, and who finally finds a place to belong,

- and a Templar Officer candidate, who, once he graduates, is recruited by the Speaker for the Templar Order and given access to a whole bunch of Order secrets, as well as a dangerous mission to complete.

All of them learn stuff through the story, which leads them separately, and finally together, to an alien threat from the Terrox, one of the surviving technologically advanced races which captured a narvidian and reprogrammed it, using the AI to try to re-establish their place in the Quadrant.

It was soooooo much fun to work on!

Cool. If the brothers make it canon (maybe one of the billion things across the quadrant only a few know) I'll include bits and direct to your story. BTW, Andrew,Cory, may I add links directly to the STRPG and TA free versions? DL straight from the site through Google play and app store, for ppl whose first exposure is the Encyclopedia?

I don't think my story is anywhere near 'canon', nor should it be. I think my take is just one of the possible stories that the ST universe allows. (And that's the really amazing thing about what Andrew and Cory have provided.)

Frankly, it was the "RPG", or roleplaying game part of the game title which I was searching for when I found it, and why I got hooked. I think there's tons of room for all sorts of RPG ability, with parallel stories, different versions of the ST Universe, etc. I was just totally stoked with the stories that demanded I tell them, and hope I do some justice to the hugely expansive setting
