Of all the ranged attacks, holy retribution is the least effective for it's cost. Since the cleric already has 2 spells that can shoot through walls without needing line of sight (heal and curse), how about making holy retribution also shoot through walls without needing line of sight? That would make it a lot better and unique!

All ranged attack spells require Line of Sight. All Curses, Buffs, and Healing do not require LoS.

That's not the kind of inconsistency we want to introduce into a game like HoS.

Kyera's primarily a healer (although from the effectiveness of her curses, she's probably a bit of a potty mouth too). Her ranged attacks are not as efficient as the wizards or the archers. I still rely on Holy Retribution as a way to mop up those last enemies that seem to have survived being blasted/pincushioned by ole Shifty Eyes or Tami. I'd never start a fight by casting HR.

The point is that the benefit/cost of banishment compared to firestorm is much better then holy retribution compared to firebolt. Just trying to bring them a little closer.

I'm actually thinking of starting a group with her with the goal of making her an undead slayer. Pure holy damage sounds almost too good to be true once we reach the CoD so if you bring her up right she's going to be nasty once we get there. Personally I do think the spell is inaccurate at times and expensive, but I understand that she isn't meant to be a nuker- it's definitely an off talent =)

Bah, sorry Kyera, looks like you get to keep healing then...

Has the rest of episode 2 been released and I've been too wrapped up in my new party to notice? No I just have access to a whole bunch of half finished zones and quests. This is how we ensure balance, we do all the math and pre-play the zones for weeks or months before they're ready.
