I know that you guys are currently working on having the shop names display what kind of items they sell, but I had an idea that would be a little better. Although it would be more complicated to implement. Clicking on any shop you had previously visited (or any shop if tracking visited vs not visited is more trouble than it's worth) would pop up its inventory with prices without having to go all the way back to it. Maybe have a yes or no prompt first, in case you just wanted to walk there instead of viewing the inventory.
I know my shop inventory display idea would be much harder than just changing shop names to include what type of items they sell, but having the whole store inventory displayed would help those of us looking for a particular item that cannot remember where they saw it. I spent 300 yen on taxis looking for a certain hammer I had seen before I found it.
I hope you give some thought to my idea if you haven't thought of it already. Keep making this game awesome! :-)

Hi lazarus, Your idea is kinda cool but I can't really approve it ; I think that searching, having a hard time finding what you really look like is part of the RP aspect of the game. I don't believe that NBZ's shops would put their more or less illegal inventories on the Matrix net, if you see what I mean. The intention toward making the game more user-friendly was very good anyway, even if I imagine quite hard to implement, indeed.

That was why I had suggested only being able to view shops you had seen in the past, although coding that would be a pain. Maybe find another way to do it that doesn't break the immersion. Like maybe one of the computer files that you can install to your CPU, similar to the computer catalog. That would end up being too long of a file with too much scrolling unless each location was a collapseable tab that could be tapped on to expand it. I just need an easy way to remember shop inventories so that I don't have to spend 300-500 yen every time I can afford an upgrade. If I had a data connection at home I could just look it up, but sadly I don't. I had another idea to alleviate this problem as well. This one may be easier to make happen. Allow us to place custom markers that we can label. Make them blue since green is player location and red is how they show you where a building is. I would love to place a marker on a clinic that just says "Next Implant." Since the markers already exist, adding another function to them would probably be less difficult than my original idea.

We won't be making the product registry available without visiting the shop, but we are working on making the shop labeling more helpful so that you only have a few places to check out. That maintains the requirement to travel around the city and look for the right wares, without making it amazingly frustrating.
Labels like [AzTek Alphaware] for implants and [Street-grade Implants] will be big signs without being too specific. We will keep looking to find the balance here and are excited to see some near term updates to really revolutionize shopping in the NBZ.
