Hello, I have a little question, when there is 2 ennemies on a map, did it mean it will be 3 time harder than a map with only one? Really love the game but your AI really look like a real alien... she fear you when you are strong, but when she become stronger than you she don't stop to attack... To begin with the second map on hard difficulty was really a mistake, your game is so hard, normally I beat total war games on hardest difficulty direct on my first party... But ST 4x,even only in hard, no way... Really an incredible game but too addictive! Actually the problem is that the AI is incredibly clever, normally same in games like warcraft or the total war serie, the AI is not very good. In ST 4X she is really good...

Hahaha, I beta tested on Hard and ran into a lot of the same problems! It got more difficult when politics got involved and everyone threw a hissy fit while a Xeno horde happily munched on my entire fleet and two planets. D: I was peeved but also thinking, 'Well played, sir/madam/it, well played. This round goes to you, but I'll make you bleed next time around'.
One thing I can tell you is that home advantage is really, REALLY important. Xenos e numbers, but you have flexibility and 'power attacks' like barrage. But if you have no fuel or a rotating fleet nearby, then you better order enough space caskets for the unidentifiable bits that will be left afterward. Remember all those history shows about supply lines? Yeah, it really comes back here.

Hehe, no our games are always designed to be practiced on NORMAL first.
The AI doesn't cheat but it also is programmed to play for keeps and go for the kill.
2 enemies means you're fighting two different AI, each one with a different strategy.
They don't share information and they do compete with each other.
Future updates will let you pick the number of enemies in Elite

Normal in your games is pretty ruthless compared to other game companies...

I am planning for the long term.
For the first six months people told me ST Impossible was stupid, couldn't be played.
They raged, called me names, told me I was ruining the game. That they would quit, never play again.
Then, low and behold ... I got an e-mail with a screenshot from one of them showing ... and level 45 Impossible Bounty Hunter.
Fast Forward six months, and many people were soundly defeating me on Impossible. Without me giving them the secrets, they figured it out.
People complain all the time that mobile games are disposable, too easy, too short, too simple.
I design games that will take you days to learn and years to master.

And yeah home advantage is very important, and I used it, but they were definitively too many alliens, and two ennemies that's pretty unfair... "try one more time!" Hahaha!

Actually It's true, sometime we are ragging against the game and the AI, but it's the thing who give us the motivation (or the hate) to make one more game and take our revenge on the AI: "I will kick your ass this time" And so we are never bored to begin a new game on a higther difficulty, we allways have to improve our technique, it's allways challenging. For the moment, I still have to practice, great game!

I had a post somewhere on how the Xeno munched on those planets and I basically left some planets out to dry so I could rebuild my fleet. You just don't get to see decisions like that anymore.

So I was getting really confused when I started a game in the 32x64 map and I was just going off my instincts. I was playing on easy to get a feel for the game- I thought that meant even if I screwed up big time I could still get to level 200, like star traders(at least on a old version- my phone was really bad). I tried looking for some kind of documentation, like the ST help menu, but I didn't find any. So... I got to 4.32 AE with -60 income because the Xeno was getting near- can the Xeno actually take over my colonies at all, or can I take over the Xeno's colonies at all btw? what can the xen do exactly?- and I ragequit and started the default game. So I started a new game and saw the tutorial, so I was feeling good, until about 1.30 when I saw the Xeno. Also, btw, what are the numbers for the disadvantages of morale loss? I found myself making tons of extra habs so that I wouldn't lose morale, and lost out on the opportunity to create mines and factories. Anyways, I had a weird strategy: don't make any new ships, spreading colonies to the middle of the map, so that I had pretty much sealed off half the map from the Xeno using that colony and the temple defenders and the explorers by 1.30AE, then the moment I saw the Xeno, I started up 4 strike fighters(is it a good idea to redesign the ships, btw? I've just been using the defaults) which killed my economy, and now I have 9 colonies, a bunch of strike fighters, and the starting temple defenders and the explorer, half the world sealed off and a cashflow of $60. I'll post a screenshot. I guess what I'm asking is whether anyone has any tips or starting guides(for any difficulty, I'm not afraid to play easy), because I am certainly not able to figure that out.
