Sorry if this just isn't added yet, but after researching the topic that unlocks Assault Fighters a canned version doesn't appear in the ship list.
I can still use the format to make a custom version.

It also happens to Battlecruisers and Heavy Carriers. You cannot make a custom version for them because gravity weapons and plasma weapons are not available to research.

I have created #4X-2471 to fix this issue. There is a canned ship for every new hull type that you unlock.

fallen I think he means for custom designs. The only Plasma and Gravity weapons available are the ones in the glitched canned versions. So custom designs are impossible also. But I'm sure a bug fix would be easier than releasing a full tech tree update? I don't know I'm not the programmer. Whichever is easiest for you and Cory.

I had no idea, as I never buy canned versions lol In that case, let me refries that. The weapons that are available in the canned versions of the heavy carrier and battlecruiser are not available when you want to create one from scratch. Although technically you can edit the canned ships so that they become a custom design, it would be nice to have those same weapons on the canned designs available to add to your heavy carrier and battleship when you create a new one. EDIT: No, nevermind. No canned heavy carriers or battlecruisers either. |

Added canned Assault Fighter.
Went on the cheap side, builds 33/204 maint 56
no armor, no aux. systems
fights pretty well.

Updated them, but no canned ships. That takes many hours to do, and I had to get at least 3 hours of sleep or I cannot code good

You guys need to make sure you're balancing work time, sleep time and this other type of time you probably haven't heard of before called "relaxation time". We just don't want you to code when you're exausted and be unproductive, it's not like we care about you guys personally or anything  |
