blackgauntlet - would be pretty interesting if you could "hold court" in your own safehouses... however, this would really make them -not- a safe place to be =) grävling - we are still working on the phone thing. As soon as design decisions are made, its always hard to change them (especially when hundreds of buildings were all built on top of the decisions). Yeah, understood. Feature 1But it'd be a good idea to delete the safehouse from our PDA if it is no longer safe (as in, Heat was generated when we were inside) and we had to re-purchase it. Feature 2Also, once the Matrix is up and running for real, hope we get to see Virtual Backrooms (in the form of Chatrooms) where CKs, Runners, Peddlers and Connectors hop in for some online transactions from secure locations. Heck, maybe a BBS with Thread postings that are actually jobs, deals, latest rumors, job applications, hints on how to play the game, flavor texts (SPAM) and 4chan . From how I visualize it, there should be some missions that are so urgent that Connectors could not spare the time to hang around IRL Backrooms, or beside their phones, waiting for CKs (whom are a rather rare breed due to all the horrible sacrifices they had to make) to approach them. Feature 3I'd like to be able to hack that damn Security Camera outside BraveStar's walls, those uppity bastards. And with the introduction of the Underground, I hope that there are more security breaches for us to exploit through the underground cabling and generators. Feature 4Will there be alternative exits for safehouses that leads to the Underground? I hear a resounding "Yes, please!" amongst the fans. ;D Feature 5Will there ever be toxins we can use as weaponry? Ticking damage is really fun. Especially if we are fast enough to run around the enemy in circles. Feature 6Wish List of Enemies 1) Mutants 2) Robots 3) Vehicles 4) Psionics 5) Named Assassins/Bounty Hunters (famous/infamous arch-rival CKs) that can only be killed during special events. Feature 7Alarm clocks on our PDAs would be nice. It'd be funny if it happened to ring when you're about to attempt to snipe a target, though. ;D Feature 8Salvage internal organs from dead enemies to sell to the black market doctors. It'd be like "Destroying" vessels on ST. ______________________________________________ 1) I agree that if your heat gets too high, they could pull your safehouse (as its no longer safe, duh) but I think you should either get some of your expense back or just lock you out temporarily. 2) I love this idea. Don't exactly know where the Matrix is going. maybe scaled back a little from your vision...otherwise what you ask for is already accomplished here in the forums. already addressed #3 LMAO 4) I totally agree 5) I agree too on this. I am sure STE might be able to handle this...actually no reason a turn based couldnt handle it too... but know we all agree here. 6) agree here with the exception of psionics. I know TB has already killed the idea...besides the balance issues that become inherent once you open that Pandora's Box. 7) I think it would be funny too, but I would like alarms for when missions are due to be up, or like alarms that I don't always have to go to the status screen to see. this all integrates into other areas too. during a mission, you should know using a keyword what type of mission you are on. 8) I agree too, not just black market body parts, but also salvage cyberware for cheap resell. some of these are tropes to the genre, some are simple additions that would help flesh out the game world and help with that suspension of disbelief. I have added my own and I would love to add even more, but I don't want to step on TB toes, especially where their vision of NBZ is concerned. May STE bring us that next level...but as for now the NBZ is getting bigger and more complex as time goes on it exciting as much as imagining what the future unfolds...

Is it just my phone or are there only 9 physical/mental boxes on the status screen when you tap the character picture?
Small detail: on the opening screen; the words on the saved games button are lower than continue on the left. I'm just saying. It's not a deal breaker.
Like the encounter exit screen and now I'm taking a hit for being a cyber zombie but it's still worth it

What if every time you searched it increased your heat because of the time involved and chance of leaving behind trace evidence, but the trade off would be access to a bit more loot. It would be nice to have specific search buttons: search ammo, weapons, cyber, data.
Searching for cyber in the field is a huge stretch for me because of the delicate nature of the equipment and intricate way they tie into the nervous system. Wouldn't most implants require an autopsy to discover and remove successfully? Aren't security and medical forces responding because concerned citizens who work and live in these zones call for help on mobile devices and implants as they dive for cover? Now you have a search threshold and prioritization really starts to matter because the more time you search the greater your chances are of having to fight your way out of a war zone with real solders armed, armored and chipped to the teeth.
Weapons are identity locked and should require a successful electronics check in a safe house to reactivate, sell for a fraction, or strip for parts.

@dice - what phone are you using? Its possible that some of the UI still needs more work to fit onto every device. Takes a long time to get it perfect. Thanks for the props on the new victory / escape screens!
On the searching front -- if you stop and search, your Heat always goes up. A stealth or normal exit is better than stopping to search in terms of Heat management. Right now, the things that you can find from search are pretty limited, but I like your ideas about getting gear that you have to tinker with to make valuable again (electronics!). I am not a fan of the idea of searching for cyber, because I can't image you ever have enough time to (on the street, before reinforcements arrive) correctly remove someone's cyber. The only way to do it would be to throw the corpse over your shoulder and take it to a Street Doc, and that is just not going to work! So, I agree with your thought that it would require a full blown autopsy and some major medical EQ to remove cyber from one person in such a way that it was not destroyed.

fallen- How about, if we were to join a specific branch of the faction that "permits" us to do repo, harvesting & salvaging works unmolested? ;D Y'know, like how artifacts, electronics and weapons are handled in ST?

I think that one's ability to pick up a corpse and haul it someplace depends on how many people are in your team. And if it is your teammate that is the corpse, then maybe we can get him or her ressurrected, if they aren't too dead? Something for a doctor-type character to be good at, as an idea.

Grabbing gear like weapons, cred sticks, medkits, etc is as easy as searching the body, ok, on failed stealth checks you gain more heat. as for the cyberware... take their body (or body part if you will) to the closest med chop shop or underground 'ware facility or Doc. they already exist, not all of them are aligned by faction ... are they?

I also agree that with a larger team, it will be much easier to tote bodies. its a gritty world out there, and a dead body is as much a gold mine, as paydata or a dead machine for parts. that's how I have always seen it. But I am partial to Cyber Docs as I have been working on stories featuring one. That's me.
That's the Punkish side of CyberPunk.

Well i don't know if this has been posted before (i did not bother checking the 40 pages prior to this one)but might it be possible to earn money through non-contract/non-combat way(i.e. selling black market things or drugs).

don't need chainsaws. I have claws implanted in my arms that slice Droids with ease, they also chop limbs and heads off.

I agree that there has to be a market for stolen/repossessed implants but I would think before you can harvest them you would need specific contacts, and (baring the chainsaw) an easy way to transport the body to a safe location for processing. One other item: the victim. You have to face an enemy who has the benefit of the gear before it's even an option.
