Greetings final frontier fighters!
I've noticed in the research tree various types of shielding. E.G. beta, gamma, theta etc.
What a these and how can they help me eradicate those Xeno fodder?

There is "Damage" and there is "Radiation"
Damage is soaked with Armor.
Radiation is soaked with Shielding.
You can research both ways to add Radiation to your Damage, and Shielding to your Armor.
The types of Radiation are:
Alpha Beta Gamma Neutron Theta
G, N, T => more common in ranged ships A, B => more common in mass driver ships

So that's what radiation damage is. Unless it blends in to the damage equation, I've never noticed it.
Considering I've never noticed it before, I'm assuming each radiation point adds a point of damage during the damage equation? Not sure about the differences between each type of radiation though.

starfixer - it does blend into the damage equation, you see one final number result at the end, including radiation.

Are there any indicators that would let me know if the enemy is using damage, radiation, shielding, or armor?

What percentage of Xeno damage is normally radiation? Is it 50/50?

Some intel mechanics would be awesome!

Intel mechanics are coming, Radiation and Shielding read-outs will be in the Xeno display screen if the active ship has enough Sensor points.
