Darn. Dogmeat (my hund) got knocked unconscious by some random corporal. Any way I can get him back on my team? I tried relocating him in a backroom, but the option doesn't appear.

Shadower - as it stands now, a dead dog is permanently dead. Perhaps this needs to be modified by difficulty.
