I have 20 planets populated and sometimes I see a planet has nothing to do and I want to build a spacecraft. But I want to do this only at the edge of my empire. So when I know the name of the planet, I have to click on all planets for this faction to find the one. Is there an easier way?

@kelden - if you tap a planet on the map, it will bring up that planet's colony screen. Scroll to a colony near your target, tap on the colony, New Ship > Build Colony Hive.
Welcome to the forum, and I hope that helps.

Welcome to the forum, and I hope that helps. Are you guys planning on adding a button to the Colony Status screen to jump to that Colony on the map? That would be quite helpful with what this user is asking. I would very much like this feature as well. If I have a Colony not doing anything, I wanna make sure it's as close to the Xeno border as possible before deciding to build a ship there.

Lol :-) I was just trying to get a confirmation if they had decided to do it and/or a timeframe for it. Thanks for the response!

lazarus - we don't do ETAs, and I do not believe that the "zoom to map" button on a colony would help the @kelden very much in this situation. In that case, he is doing a costly reverse look-up. Find idle colony, zoom to map, nope... that's too far away ... return to colony list, find new idle colony, zoom to map ... that's close but not the one I want. In this case, it seems to me the simple answer is tapping on the colony on the map.

I'm not trying to argue, but now that I've read the post again, it looks like neither would help too much since there's no way to tell if a colony is idle from the map screen. He would be doing the same thing in reverse. Tapping a colony on the border, "Nope, that one's still busy." Tap another one, etc. It looks like some kind of Idle/Busy marking for planets on the map screen would be the best solution, which I know has also been suggested many times. On a side note, I feel as if my posts lately have come across as argumentative. I don't want you or your brother to think that I'm unhappy with your games. I just love to debate and I think hearing different sides helps grow the games and the community as a whole.

lazarus - thanks for the encouragement. In the two cases, the search list for "search by map" would be smaller. There are only 5 planets "near" the enemy. In the case of the list-to-map button, the search list is every colony. I am excited to see us keep improving colony selection & display, but also trying to point out the most optimal way to do this today.

Perhaps some way to name a system ourselves could be of use here? If we remember what we name a planet, then we would be much more likely to remember its location.
