Riverjack I'd say it actually depends on your party. Fyona with RF(later) and SoC, and KJ with PFS and CA, and then vraes with PS and BoS,finally Selen and Pinning shot 5, is what I am using in my ironman NM group. I may not be a pro but the damage output and the damage taken have not been any issue. And the ratkin skirmishers start off targeting in episode 1. I noticed it as early as the oskahold fight. That sounds like a really solid group. Got me dreaming about making a new one... Yea it's pretty awesome so far fyona is putting points in CD as well to be off tank and melee support. Have cleared up to nordhall, just hunting the troll currently. 0 deaths. The only issue I'm having currently is lack of SP so makes for lots of camping. Warders and sacrifice could work but then I lose the RF bonus and would then have to probanly put some points into stoneskin

Since I started this thread and Phalanx got an upgrade I haven't actually tried using it much. I have a group now that I'm slowly moving through the Ratkin Tunnels. It features Vraes using Phalanx Shield backed up by Shield of Cortias from Fyona. I'm starting to refer to Vraes as the "The Wall." For offense the team is using Energy Storm with Strickening and Pinning Shot (plus Thundering Blades on everyone too). It's dope (especially in E1) because I can just hang Vraes out front and let everybody clump up around him, then Selen and Vincent come in for absolute AoE carnage. In the first Deathkin fight, most of my buffs were just expiring for the first time and all that were left were a few stragglers. I haven't played with really high AoE damage for awhile. Very fun.
Anyways, I think the answer to this thread title now is that "Yes it can."
