One more question: How do we know which act we are in? The clearest way at this time is to check your Quest Log. Every quest is marked by its Episode (1-4). You can tell you enter Episode 3 when you start seeing E3 quests appear. Also, your group will make a really big choice. In Episode 1, there is a clear break between Act 1 and Act 2 (the Shaman). In all future Episodes Act 1 vs. 2 is just a matter of which optional content you do and don't do. Ah, the obvious answer. Thanks! Sometimes the obvious escapes me. I've been looking at that log nonstop, and I still didn't notice it!

@smaug - if a weapon is already enchanted, it cannot be crafted.
The best way to tune a weapon to have more SP drain or Fire Dmg is to feed in a piece of gear (ring, necklace) that has only those properties (Fire Dmg, SP Drain) if you can find one.

@smaug - a single item or weapon can only have one value for +Fire Dmg. Can you explain exactly what you're asking for an example of?

Once a weapon is already magical, it cannot be improved again.
If you have a mundane weapon, you can take it to a smith and trade in 2 bloodstones to have it crafted as magical. You have the option to throw a magical piece of gear (like a ring) into the forge to influence the result. In this case, provide a ring that has +Fire Dmg.

Anything with yellow text has additional magic and therefore crafting will not work.
Mundane weapons and armor only. You may add an item such as a cloak, ring, boots etc to improve your chances of getting the magical property you want your shield, armor or weapon to have. A +acc or +fire item will increase your chances of an item with the acc or fire respectively.

@smaug - it is not a direct transfer. But, you might cause the new item to have fire dmg by doing that.

There are 3-5 possible crafting results for each mundane weapon, armor and shield. Whichever is most like the tuning item will be the crafting result. If the 3-5 crafting possibilities have no similar magical properties to the tuning item then it be a random result. No tuning item is always random.
I'm trying to be as accurate and translation friendly as possible. I hope I am helping.
